Just finished with Sirius radio and started loading my hard drive. After loadeing a couple of CDs , I checked available space and it read just under 16GB. I got the Sound Group 11with Media Center 730N. Can anyone explain this to me:confused:

Even with 16GB, you will be able to put a lot of CD's on the HD. I heard that the editing features aren't that great. The first choice is erase all music. That could be scary. But I suppose that would come in handy if you sold the car. I heard someone say it is tough to erase just a song or album. Haven't tried it yet. Still loading.

"30 GB" is misleading, but 16 GB is still a ton of music to have on hand without messing with CDs. It is quite easy to erase songs from CDs you have copied, or entire CDs. Just go to the "manage HDD" menu. My beef is that the hard drive inserts a second of silence between tracks, very irritating if they're supposed to blend together, or you're listening to a live concert with crowd noise.

Yep. Pretty lame. Especially when you can go out and buy a 2TB drive for under $100. Ah well, just keep a few faves on there and get a big memory stick or two - or... I just got a 32gb Micro SD for my phone - had been putting that off anyway.

If you can, rip them to your computer first and then copy them to flash drive to copy over to the Challenger. I copied one CD in my Challenger and it took easily 2-3 times longer than copying off the flash drive.

At the very least, you can avoid the inserted silence this way.

Misleading capacity

They should have said "30 GB less operating system and extras," but I think every manufacturer/marketer does this. But, 16 GB is still a lot. I have an iPod with 1800 songs and a couple movies and only used 9 GB. Besides, shouldn't you be driving with the windows down anyway? :)

Thanks, I was wondering about the break between songs. It seems Jesus Christ Superstar has a lot of blends and I am noticing the breaks.
