Saw this vid and nearly crapped my pants when at what happened to a Chrysler 300C when it drove through about mid wheel deep water! It got me to wondering where the intake for the stock air box on my Challenger RT is? I tried looking it up on the interwebs, but everybody's just trying to sell me a cold air intake. I've resisted buying a cold air intake because I heard that there really isn't much of a difference between them and stock, but if the stock air intake is down as low as the 300C... That's the best reason to buy!

I don't think mid-wheel deep water would be sucked up unless your going very fast. Do you plan on doing a lot of river crossing in your Challenger?

A CAI looks great and sounds great. But don't expect any noticeable increase in performance. For your money, there are better performance mods.

That being said, I have a MOPAR CAI and really like it.

Your sig say you own a 12 RT, and you searched the Internet to see where it is instead of popping the hood? Just curious, who does your vehicle maintenance?
I cross many rivers in mine, Cuda. Got the Mopar raised intake for mine.

I was just too lazy to go down to the garage to look. It's pretty tough to make out what I'm looking at though and honestly, I thought this would be faster.

So you'd rather not invest much, if any, effort to learn something or educate yourself, other than do a few google searches, and just have someone spend time spelling it out and you aren't even going to pop your hood? I think you thought wrong when you thought this would be faster. I wonder what kind of condition your air filter is in. Good luck.

Your about 8" better off than my C5 vette, it wasn't the airbox inlet that did me in but the fact that all the electronics on the C5 are at ground level and a 6" puddle will take out the BCM , PCM and several other electronic components, cost $3000 to be repaired in 2006.
