I installed a MMX NSR cam in a friend's SRT 392 - I like the way the cam behaves - no loss of low or mid range and very good driveability. His rwhp is ~ 485 with the NSR cam.

this is in an M6 and you don't have to slip the clutch or go higher revs over what a stock M6 / 392 would drive like so it works great for daily driving

It has idle lope - MMX sells a version that is even more lope, but it sacrifices power.

I have a another friend that is looking at doing a cam swap for his 392, and probably will go with the Max Effort NA cam, which requires springs.

Any of the MMX cams require the phaser limiter which you're probably aware of.

If I were going to put a cam in my own 392, I'd go with the Max Effort NA cam.

Hall, did the new cam allow for a higher RPM ceiling?
I wasn't involved with the tuning a local outfit near me did the tuning for the owner - they've done a lot of Hemis and Hellcats.

From the dyno graphs for MMX for their cams, it looks like the peak hp is 6,125 rpm, so not much reason to raise it beyond the OEM 6,400 rpm setting...IMO

In April 2021, I installed the MMX Max Effort NA cam in my '16 Scat Pack Shaker

this required new springs, lifters (req'd for warranty on cam), unlock PCM, buying tuner (HP Tuner) & 2 credits, and a remote tune from MMX as well as the cam, gaskets. I upgraded the pushrods as well. The MMX kit included the spring locators, shims.

My initial dyno (with email tune) seems low - so I'm going to have dyno tuning done by a local outfit that did my friends SRT 392 back in 2018 (with the MMX NSR cam). The version I have (MAX Effort N.A.) has higher lift than the NSR version

one observation on the lifters - mine is an M6 I had the 787AA version (build Aug '15) of the lifter and the current version is 787AD (Aug '19 build) the roller tip bearings look the same size between the old and current version.
-in the images the one with the dimple in the axle is the AA version from 2015...

Sounds like we have similar build and results. I have the same kit, plus hellcat TB, and lt headers. Mine dyno'd at 477hp on day1 and 475hp / 480tq on day2. Research shows that mmx me cam typically gets above 490 hp.
My dyno (this facility installed theirs last year) and the IATs were in the 100* range - was 448 rwhp / 463 torque which is low.

The outfit I'm having the additional tuning works on a lot of different makes, but they're pretty much THE guys to go for tuning Hemi engines (and they build for customers as well) - so we'll see what baseline values they have and they're looking at their database of previous customers to see what results they got with whatever mods with the MMX ME N.A. cam...
