Looking for a lightweight front drag wheel.
Has anyone tries or have the Racestar dragstar 17x4.5" wheels with 2.25 backspacing and -13mm offset for the front w/ drag skinnies?

Will these work for my RT?
Do I need spacers?

I had a set of Mustang Bullet 17x7.5 and they would not go on the front, they hit the brake calipers.
Bogarts are not an option due to price!
Thanks,
Don

Weld makes a 17x5 wheel with a 2.2 inch back space that fits without using spcaers or touch the brakes. It is the RT-S series wheel. I think they look real nice.

17 inch front

Weld does, but the dragstars are half the price...

I know that price is important, but the Weld RT-S is a forged 3 piece wheel made in the USA. The dragstars are imported and a cast wheel.
There is also a the fact that the Welds can be re-polished for a life time to look brand new. I have seen some cast products dull and loose their luster real quick. Food for thought.

So does a Rolex... I'm just kidding here. Couldn't help myself ;-)

The Welds look sweet, as do the Bogarts and the CCW's.

I don't see a weld RT-S in a 17X5 115mm on their website. Who selling it and what's the cost? I need a set to match my 17's on the rear.

Weld just released the 17x5 with the 2.2 back space. They say the wheel has a large pad for brake clearance and will not require any mods to put it on the car.
I see them advertised for $462.00 per wheel. It is also the correct bolt pattern (5x115mm) not 5x4.5 like the Mustang. This will help with ride quality and vibration free driving.
