Okay I know it's summer but the MA tax holiday is rumored to be around the corner so I'm going to pull the trigger on some Blizzaks to save some $. But in order to buy them I have to buy rims too... anyone have recommendations on cheapy rims for a Challenger SXT running 18s?

Thanks in advance for any help suggestions!!

Try tirerack.com for a wheel/tire combo. Their techs can also provide some good info on sizing.

Don't go too cheap on the wheels, as the lower priced China wheels are prone to rim bends & cracks.

I bought some lightly used OEM R/T rims to mount my snow tires on. They're for sale sometimes on this site.

I've got a set of factory 18's if your interested. Some curb rash, but they come with TMPS sensors too. Been a while since I've checked on them (out in the shop), but I can clean them up and take a few pictures for you.

Sure! Let me know how much you are looking for on a set. I'm trying not to spend too too much since the Blizzaks are going to eat up a bit.

Stay away from the cheapy aluminum wheels at Tire Rack and other places. After Winter when the early spring pothole season begins you'll thank me! I researched some of the cheaper aluminum wheel brands and there were many things on the web that said they were easily damaged.

Find someone with a set of factory 18-inch aluminum wheels or steel wheels and buy those. The 18's came on the Challenger/Charger/Magnum and 300; finding a set shouldn't be a problem. eBay has TPM sensors if the wheels you buy don't have them.

I put together a set of factory aluminum 18-inch wheels, TPMS, and Firestone Winterforce Tires for under $900. If you are patient and look for deals, there are plenty out there. In thinking about this early before the weather changes, the deals should be quick to come.

Thanks for the tip! I'm working with Chris on a set of used factory rims actually so they should do well then. I'm also looking into Blizzaks from Walmart of all places to keep the costs down so I can do local pickup and avoid shipping on the tires. (also hopefully during a tax free weekend :icon_biggrin:)

This is my first time dealing with a RWD car in the winter so I want to make sure everything's done right!

along the same lines here except I will have the R/T+ with the 20"s. Can anyone tell me if they think 18"s will work? I ask because a few threads have lightly touched on it, but always say the 18's won't fit over the Brembo brakes. Does the RT have those? If not, does anyone have any knowledge about this?

I'm looking for rims for winter that are good, but might take a beating (pot-holes, etc) Obviously 18's are cheaper and for the 2-3 months I'll have them on, I'm not looking to break the bank.

.
I have an RTC that came with 20" classic wheels. The OEM 18" aluminums fit the car. As far I know, the only car to get Brembos was the SRT. If you did a conversion or have some kind of covers over the calipers, you may have to check the fit.
