The real wood grips can be found, but you have to hunt for them. I accidentally ran across a forum post a year or so ago (when doing a google search) where some one was selling them. I was able to purchase 2 sets and later sold 1 of them.

The guy made a couple of dozen sets and said that was all he was making.

It hit or miss from what I have seen.
