If you have painted your calipers with the G2 kit, I would really appreciate pics. I'm trying to decide if I want to do mine Purple to match the car, or black, since I'm blacking out the car a lot. I would like to see some pics of ones that are already done, and please specify if you got the custom match color kit, or the cheaper stock kit.
Thanks so much,
Amanda

I used the purple G2 kit and it turned out more "mauve" than purple. hated it. Painted over it with regular purple paint. THis was for my Dark Titanium 09 with purple flames.

Unless G2 has changed their tint from 2009, I would not recommend it. unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures because it was such a turn-off, I took a day off work the next day to repaint them.

Yikes! That is not what I was hoping to hear.
I requested a color swatch from them, so I guess I know now it's not going to be what I want....

paint them with color match rattle cans from the dealer...i did mine in B5 and they still look like i just did them
What exactly did you purchase from the dealer? Is it specifically for painting calipers? If you don't mind my asking, how much was it?
Thanks so much :)

It's not caliper paint from the dealers, it's regular 5 ounce rattle cans, with laquer. It works fine.. I did the brake calipers on my C5 vette with factory GM Torch Red and it held up perfect. I cleaned them, lightly sanded them, primered, shot many coats of base coat, then finished up with the matching clear.

You can get the same results with Mopar Base Coat, Clear coat in 5 ounce cans.

I did mine in regular rattle can paint mixed to match paint code. Expresspaint.com No high temp or special paint.. Lasted about a year so far with no problems.
