The September 2018 issue of Motor Trend discussed the new 1320 Scat Pack model for 2019. While it has the standard 485 hp. 6.4 Hemi, it comes with an SRT-tuned adaptive damping suspension with Drag Mode, extreme-duty 41-spline halfshafts, line lock, trans-brake, cool-down features for hot lapping, and a driver's seat (passenger and rear seats are an option). Also, specially developed Nexen street-legal drag radials are available. The quarter mile time is stated at 11.7 sec.@ 115 mph.

In case this car is a little slow for you, a Hellcat Redeye will be offered with a supercharged 6.2 Hemi that generates 797 hp and goes 3.4 sec. from 0 to 60 mph and 10.8 sec. in the 1/4 mile.

Cuda- I just read the Motor Trend article from July 19 "First Look." The link in your post does not work for me.

From the July article, which is kind of thin on details, "For those who take the 1320 hot-lapping, there are cooldown features." Such as what, for instance? The article doesn't say what the "cooldown features" are.

The cooldown feature is from the Demon. It simply lets you run the electric cooling fans to cool the engine while sitting in the pits or staging lanes. It has an auto shutoff feature if the battery voltage gets below 11v or something like that. FWIW, the TaZer can enable that exact same option with the push of a button.
