G'Day guys

just moved over to the US for work and decided to get a challenger (when in roam) ended up buying a 2019 SXT AWD with just over 100miles on the clock, pretty stock from what i can tell. im up north so figured the AWD would be usefull in the snow.

but woundering what the general recomendations are for upgrades? already thinking of upgrading the cold air intake, throttle control and new head unit/sound system (wanting wireless android auto). but any other recomendations?? not looking to go hell's bells, just get some more HP out of her and improve the sound and driving experence. anything really ^-^ any recomendations from people with experence.

Even thought it only has 100 miles on it, which is unusual for a '19, I'd get tires better suited for snow and ice, like the DWS06 Plus. But first I would break it in properly.

The rest I would leave alone, except for the sound system if you really feel it needs a new one. It's a V6, so enjoy the mileage it gets and that the exhaust is quiet. Unless you have money to burn for minor. if any, power gains.

EDIT: I thought I did good when finding a '22 about a year ago with 178 miles on it. You really scored.

Throttle control... Like Pedal Monster? Sure, makes it a bit more responsive/fun. It is like Sport Mode on my Scat, a little push is like a bit more push. Top end does not do much is the tradeoff. CAI adds sound, but no power.

Which is something to set early for new owners, there are slim to no ways to add power easily to the V6. Still a good car and a good engine.

Since you are looking at driving in snow, and since this '19 has 100 miles on it, the first thing I would do is look at tire date codes. If original, they are due for replacement now no matter how few miles are on them, they could shred on a highway drive. I like the Continental DWS 06 as a very good all-around tire. Others may offer different suggestions.

For better snow performance, a dedicated snow tire (and may as well get another set of sacrificial rims) is the next step. I liked Blizzaks but it has been close to a decade since I last went down that road and there may be better choices today.

For swapping head units, do some research. I think you should already have Android Auto with USB cable, if you are just after wireless I think there are some BlueTooth gizmos which will accomplish this. I just plug my iPhone (for CarPlay) into my '18.

If you want to go down the exhaust path, bite the bullet and get a Borla (or Solo or ...) catback system you like the sound of. You can research and read about a bunch of less expensive options on the 'net, those only work for the Hemi engines. They sound like hammered ass on the V6.

You will not get more horsepower for any reasonable amount of money. Even a supercharger, by the time you are done, will cost more than a 5.7 car when you are done...

Except that does bring up one point. Other than finding a good example of a retired Pursuit in good condition, there are no 5.7 AWD cars made in recent years. I was considering RIPPing a V6 AWD Charger as a daily, bought a Ram Rebel 4WD instead.

Back to your Challenger. If you unlocked the PCM and got a tune for premium gas, you would pick up a few horsepower as measured on a dyno. Other than psychologically, you will not feel it in your butt. You have a great car which will serve you year-round, make it fun and make it suit your tastes for looks and sound, but the power you have is it.

You might want to tint the windows too, really helps the looks.

Got pics? we love pics.

The 3.6 in naturally aspirated form is basically maxed out from the factory (like the 6.4!).
Change fluids if not already done. Change spark plugs if not already done.

My experience with snow in my AWD has been awesome. I don't have "snow" tires on it. I've been fortunate that I've been able to work from home when we get a blizzard, but I do need to drive in it the next day or when a couple inches fall. It's fun to disable Traction Control and spin all four off the line (while still going straight). Such a blast!

CAI wont get you any more HP a Throttle Enhancer wont either, get the PCM Unlocked and a Tune that will get you about 20-25ish HP at the Engine Flywheel.
The 3.6 is not going to get much more hp without a Forced Induction, sadly many get them and think they are easy to get HP and fall for the CAI Stuff and Typical
Social Media Myth HP tricks.
