I have a 2010 Challenger SRT8 and would like to add a backup camera. Does anyone have a recommendation?
That sounds promising. Wonder if this would work with a 2010? My radio has Nav but not sure if it’s 430I have a 2011 with the 430 Nav radio. I had the dealer add code XACA (ParkView(TM) Rear Back-up Camera.
Then have them re-flash the TIPM. When you put your trans in reverse, your screen should go dark. Then - just add a camera. I added a MOPAR camera. Love iT!
Hello JF, First of all thank you for the procedure you sent me. I saw your OBD-II interface so I assume you have a 2015+ Challenger or Charger.... Mine is a 2010 and by checking on Alfaobd website, I found that I would need the OBDlink LX model for my car. I have bought an iCar Pro OBD interface ( Photo 1 ) and even if it is recongnized by the Alfaobd software, it seems it cannont set the parameter for the backup camera because I get an error message after pressing the start button telling me Procedure completed, but status is unknown. No Control Unit Confirmation received for the write request. This usually mean an OBD interface issue. If the problem persist you might need to use a different ODB interface. ( Photo 2 ) According to Alfaodb website I would need this interface ( Photo 4 ). Well I hope this time if I buy another OBD interface that it will work because I know that the camera works when plugged into an external monitor. My radio is a Mygig RHR model with this plug in connector C3 ( Photo 3 ). Could it be possible that the radio needs an extra 12v signal coming from the backup camera ?View attachment 1124549 I used this interface to connect to the car through alfa obd.
View attachment 1124550 Once connected you will want to enter into the body computer as seen. Then click on the little car with the hood open at the bottom right. That brings you to this page. Open the menu at the bottom and scroll down to car configuration change.

From there enter the lower menu on the next page and select vehicle config 2: Rear camera present.

Once there open the new lower menu select set and the click start. It should update the info to set as shown. Then after a key cycle your deck should look for the camera signal. Hopefully this helps.
