I just got rid of my 2018 scat pack shaker. You would think for a car that is go mango that it would be visible to everyone however, in the three years I owned it I got hit four times. I’m now in danger of having my insurance canceled And I’d be kind to think that maybe this car was jinxed. I love the car and always wanted a shaker, this cat was the second one that I’ve found the first was an RT. So I started shopping around, and as I did, buyers and dealer started contacting me. Offering to buy the car straight out. I didn’t wanna do that because then I would have no way to get around to shop for a new car. Fortunately, I had several offers in writing when I arrived at the dealership. They of course lowball me on a 2023 RT plus, last call. I showed them the written offers I had and eventually they beat them and they actually made $6400 more than what I paid for the car. They told me parking that car on the front row would bring them more than enough customers to cover the extra trade-in value. Quite frankly, I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, and I will probably take a lot of heat for it but at 75 the scat pack simply was too powerful. For me it was uncomfortable spending the tires every time I tried to accelerate shift gears and I just wasn’t enjoying the car as much. I’ve had a 5.7 in the past and was always happy with the power and this new destroyer Grey with the 5.7 is as peppy as I remembered the last one being. The best part is now I get to start all over with all the upgrades That I had on the scat pack.

I do not enjoy my Scat in traffic or in town, burning premium gas for no good reason. I do like having a bit more power than I can actually use on my back roads.

For everyday driving, I think the 5.7 is a good fit, and a good balance of performance and economy. This also for a somewhat rural to small city region. For deep urban, I could not enjoy much beyond a V6.

So no heat from me, but watch out for the young'uns, I'm 10 years younger than you and have a hint of maturity and perspective.
