I saw a rear spoiler badge recently that said SRT SCAT PACK with a bee. C'mon folks, there's just no point. I'm fine with down badging, but why exaggerate what you have? Its not like someone is going to say "gee whiz, I'm so glad you lied about your trim level. You really made my day." Etc

I have zero issue with a SRT badge on a Scat Pack

Does this mean that my lowly T/A with 5.7L HEMI and 8HP70 transmission can possibly now identify as an SRT?
If it is a 2014, then you can get 2/3 of the way to a SRT since it would be a SxT. I love it.

All I know, is the T/A is better than both the SRT and Scat Pack. You peasants keep arguing.
OUCH! That burn hurts!
It all comes down to equipment, and what is available on which cars... And since the T/A can't get a SHAKER, seems lacking to me ;)

I'll have to make do with my WB Shaker. You know, the one with the specialty SRT suspension that out-handles every other stock suspension on the platform; including every single thing branded as SRT. Don't tell the Badge Police.

My SPWB Shaker is powered by SRT.
It says so every time I open the hood.

😍😁HERE ARE 2 SRT'S FOR YOU

1025751

1025752

Street Racing Technology OR Super Rapid Transit?????

This reminds me of the camaro owners in the 70's that would argue that because they had a 350 4 barrel they had a Z28.😁
Z/28

😁
A Pontiac Trans-AM (Discontined):LOL::ROFLMAO:

I stand corrected. Z/28. I owned a real 1971 Z/28. Red with Black interior. 4 speed. One of the few cars I wish I had not sold.😁

That's great but like you said you sold it.😩 You are the person to ask about this: I like those 2 body styles on the 1970 and 1971 Z/28 (correct me if I am wrong on this) that the Z/28 uses the same LT-1 Corvette engine. You can also get the Z/28 with air conditioning and in automatic whereas the 1970 and 1971 Corvette you couldn't get those 2 options because that solid lifter engine would spin off the pullys on air conditioning unit?

70 and 71 Z/28 regardless of transmission type had the solid lifter LT1 engine. Same engine as corvette just 10 hp less than corvette due to corporate policy. A/C was not available in Z/28 until 1972 when it went to hyd lifter engine. That doesn't mean that a dealer may have installed A/C for a customer but GM didn't think the A/C compressor could take the higher rpm range with solid lifters. One quick way to tell a real Z/28 from a fake is the factory tach. SS camaro had 7000 rpm tach, all Z/28s had 8000 rpm tach. Lot of fake Z/28s in people's collections😉

I see then it was the same as the Corvette as the air conditioning was not available on a LT-1 Corvette until 1972.
Another very difficult HOT car to find is the 1970-1973 Trans-AM 400, 455 HO and the impossible 455 SD.(y)

OUCH!!! Look at that curb rash.o_O😣🤢
I love that functional hood😍 but not in that high maintenance satin finish.o_O

I have to wonder then with the 1970 Pontiac Trans-AM with 400 Ram Air engine and the 1971 455 HO Trans-AM did both of these cars come with solid lifters like the Z/28 in 1970 and 1971?

The only Pontiac engine that had solid lifters from the factory was the 389 SD from 1959 - 1962. These were made specifically for NHRA and NASCAR but were available in some street cars. The later 389, 400, and 455 engines were hyd cams even with the tripower carb setup.
