I have some air tools but the convenience of rechargeable is a game changer for me as a driveway mechanic. I can just grab it and go vs setting up the compressor which I can’t leave set up all the time.

I’m self taught just by figuring it out or reading piles of mags and books before we had the internet. There are many cases where I want to loosen by hand, pulling a head comes to mind if I’m trying to understand why a head gasket went. If the bolt is suspiciously loose thats more of a smoking gun than just having to assume the gasket went for no good reason. The only real value I may get then is to check everything else the prior person may have touched in case it’s also loose. I ran into that with a couple of projects.
