My 2016 Scat Pack Shaker (392, automatic) has been having a check engine light come on for some time now. Pulling the codes myself, I get the following codes, which Google tells me is driver and passenger side exhaust valve actuators:
P121B
P1217
I took it to the dealer (Lithia Dodge in Santa Fe) and they have diagnosed the issue as a failed driver's side exhaust valve actuator. They want $630 to do the repair (plus the $170 fee for diagnosing, which I'm stuck paying no matter what).
It seems to me that if it is simply a failed actuator, this is pretty easy to replace myself. It appears to be held on by 3 bolts, and I just need to make sure the spring is in the correct orientation when I resinstall. A quick search tells me that the part is $235.

Is this as easy as I'm making it out to be? Is it reasonable to bring her home, buy the part, and install myself? What gotchas am I missing?
