Getting code P0171 system too lean bank 1

What is this code? I was out driving this evening and the car just started running rough and I got this code. Now it sounds like hell, running rough and my A/F is running 17:1~ 18/1. Obviously it's a lean condition, but why?

I was not running the car hard at all today and only going about 45 mph when it started.

Fuel injector gone south?

Test the first o2 sensor on that side... Check fuel pressure... Turn off N2O at idle

It sounds like I blew another header gasket.

Whaaaat? Hey Tony -- as it turns out, the steel side of the gasket (with the tapered port) goes on the engine side.

So I learned a little tonight. The drivers side mid pipe came loose which caused the code. So after finding the problem and tightening up the pipe everything is fine. Added a little locktite to the threads this time.

Yeah, I am just glad it did not come loose last week when you and Ken were down here.

Hmm, I just had some exhaust work done and a day later I get this too. But I don't hear the exhaust leaking.

Had a Mustang that would do that to me every now & then - turned out it was the car was just telling me it was time to clean & oil the CAI filter again.
