If they are replacing it for the sag issue, that's not necessary and may not even fix it. Have them do the TSB to install new clips. In and out in 45 minutes...

I experienced that at an LA Ford dealership. The guy only drove my car a few feet from the shop to the reception area, but I drove home with all windows down and my head out the window. Warm day...

 

Got my car back from the body shop that installed a new headliner yesterday and it literally smells like someone took a dump in my car. I'm not sure if there is some sort of adhesive used or what but it still smells this morning. Anyone know what it could be?

Well, I should not and won't make funnies,cause that sort of smell ain't cutting it.I'm assuming you know these people who did this; otherwise they may have used Dump-Dump for adhesive ! I mean years ago I got a pizza from the usual place ,but I'd complained a few times and this one pizza had a strange Dump-Dump taste that I.... well I'm not going any further !!!:6:

Yeh, but I seem to recollect that BO and Dump-Dump have two different distinct odors !! Incidently, guys what did you replace the headliner for? Don't tell me there's issues with our headliners ? You know in the latest Consumers Reports mag[December] that just came,, there's a picture of our Challenger in the column with reliability problems and now CR does not recommend the Challenger !!!:argh: I mean, what gives ? 8 months ago in the April CR Annual Auto Review edition our Challengers are recommended !! What the:woot: and I just got a new 2011TOSEhyeah::mah: !!!

 

its a chemical smell that was used..same thing in my Chevy pickup...Went away after 2 months..Leave the windows rolled down when you can. It will go away..Just not soon enough. !:cursin:

 

My sunroof cover slide thing was inching it's way open on it's own so the dealership put in a new one and a new headliner. Nothing but new car smell with mine. Sorry you have to put up with that. Check under your seats in case someone thought they were being funny...
