My car is a RT Auto. I recently installed the Pypes Street Pro Performance Exaust System and thought it might be helpfull to others to give a description of my experience with them. Here it goes:

What I was looking for: The stock exaust was too quiet. I wanted to be able to hear the engine. At the same time I did not want it too loud. Whats too loud? I should still be able to hear the MyGig playing. The sound level should not be so loud it pisses off my neighbors as I pull in/out of the driveway.

THE GOOD:
Idle: Very pleased with the sound at idle. When you start the car it sounds like a beast has been awakened. It exhibits a low pitched growl with some higher throaty notes when you listen from outside car.

Slow Acceleration from Stop: Nice muscle car grunt Between 1000rpm and 2000rpm. The auto shifts around 1700rpm, however you can get a Real nice NASCAR tone. If you hold it in gear with the AutoStick and dont shift until around 2700rpm.

Downshifting to Slow Down: Really love the tone when I use the AutoStick to downshift and slow the car down. Beautifull race car tone as the engine goes from higher to lower RPM. AAHAAHARRARRROOOOOO. The tone is so cool I have become addicted to slowing down like this.

Stomp on the Gas: This sounds exactly like it should. If you want to know exactly what it sounds like try watching Vanishing Point.

HP INCREASE:
There is a noticable increase in acceleration. I am finding this a good and
bad the thing. The good thing is the car is quicker. The bad thing is it high
lights a nagging issue I am having ... Its difficult to find situations where
I can use the Challenger to its full potential. The highways/roads are too
congested and sprinkled with traffic cops to stomp on the gas for any length
of time longer than a few seconds. I dont notice any loss of torque or power at lower RPM's.

THE BAD:
What I dont like about the Street Pro's is all related to the MDS.
Around Town Speed: Not pleased with the tone when the MDS kicks in around 30mph or 40mph. Especially up a hill. Sounds like a truck when this happens. Highway Speed: This is not too bad, but when the MDS cuts in it goes from sounding like a Challenger to sounding like a two seat 4/6 cylinder British sports car. It makes a Burrrrr sound.

THE AHH I CAN LIVE WITH IT:
When I first got the car (and their was barely any engine sound in the cabin)
I was amazed at good the sound system was. I used to own a recording studio and I am pretty sensitive to how sound systems perform. The sound level in the cabin is not overbearing with the Street Pro system. However you can't hear the sound system as well as with the stock exaust being that it is not as quiet in the cabin. The way I see it there is really no way around this - either you dont hear the engine and hear your tunes in crystal clear clarity or you hear the engine and lose a little of the clearness of the sound system.

CONCLUSION:
Being able to hear the sound of the HEMI is intoxicating. I can hear enough of the MyGig to listen to is when I want to. However I am finding myself more interested in hearing the HEMI. The MDS issue is what it is. I am not sure if any after market vender has solved this problem yet. If somebody comes up with a exaust system that solves the MDS issue while still sounding right I would probably take a chance and lay down
more cash for another exaust.

I'm not sure you can get an aftermarket exhaust that will cut out the MDS tone altogether....though Corsa may be one, I'm not sure. It sounds like a good exhaust system the way you describe it. The way I look at it, when you take an 8 cylinder car thats running through an exhaust that enhances its tone (which is good) when it switches to 4 cyclinder mode, its gonna enhance that tone as well (not so good). Since most everything else is to your liking, you could run the car in autostick mode as it should only be a 4%, or so, decrease in fuel mileage.
I hear what you are saying about the sound of the engine. I've found myself not even listening to radio 90% of the time when driving to and from work. I guess you could say that the sound soothes my soul:)
