Wow, i LOVE the purple line you put around the perimeter of the door skin. I'd love to do that with my Blue Streak Pearl when it comes in. Did you but something to stick on, or paint it, dye it or something?

How about interior too

Wow great stuff. I love the look of the first one, the wiring harness and wires (maybe not the blue color) but the general idea is awesome..but i guess the covers look kinda plasticy...but a really good direction.

EDIT: I haven't seen anything in an online store for the 5.7 engine covers really outside of replacement covers that are painted, or chrome or aluminum trim added to the name HEMI etc... so these pics are really interesting in terms of other options that get rid of the cap.

the other ones are real hey? only thing is my car is a classic 5.7 (which im going to be doing engine work to once im done trim and exhaust etc.). So functional is even better. i think your other pictures without the plastic cover thing on the top of the engine (sorry dont know what you call them, im youngish but old school car-ish 66 GTO, 85 baldwin motion iroc-z, both carburated..i know nothing about injection lol). the tops of the modern engines look so wierd to me...anyhow...that being said whatever those engine covers are called, i guess the SRT's you have shown there have deleted them!!! i guess theyre unnecessary? if so that leaves alot of room for customizing and retro-styling!!! the braided lines on there are nice too. Thanks for the pics so far.... any help for this challenger newbie is greatly appreciated. i dont have the car yet, anxiously awaiting her, and about 15 trim pieces, a hurst short throw kit, badges, hurst official exhaust etc from hurst with the tips etc... man i love this car....wanted one ever since they came out. as much as i love gtos they looked like a grand prix or a 3 series bmw more than a real GTO even if they were fast. I couldnt buy it. The challenger is the most authentic retro car, looks amazing, so much room to customize (not that it needs much at all), and has plenty enough guts (and as ive been reading, both the 5.7 and srt are easily upgraded in terms of horse and the likes). CAN HARDLY WAIT. Loving this board already. Joined three, and this one is where i seem to be spending 95% of my time!!!
Here you go......real valve covers and real wires.

OMG i never would have guessed that's what it was. does it stick on well, not p eel off? does it bunch up in the corners when you shape it??? i cant see close but it doesnt seem like you have any folds at all at the corners!!! awesome...any tricks to that? did you have to use a heat gun or anything? ive never even heard of this stuff, but im going to get it for sure.

I GUESS from that guys ebay store that is 10 yards he would send me if i order it? re-reading it now....
edit: wait i think that was just a shipping quote of 10 yards, i think the order if i just hit buy it now is 8 yards like you said :)

FINAL EDIT: okay just bought it!!!! looks awesome...PM'ed him on ebay saying i wanted anywhere from 8-10 yards if its the same price, but minimum 8 yards. :)

This site rules.... thanks for the info!!! it gives just the right subtle touch to make the interior a bit more interesting without losing its retro feel.

Hey just noticed thats a blue challenger in the pic on ebay too! AWESOME!!!
:armed:
Use this stuff, it pushes into the groove, and comes in different colors.

Here are two cool Retro Mods that are featured in the' Furious Retro ..." thread. I'm going againt my own rule I set up here but I think everyone knows what was replaced or installed from the factory on these two items.

You will find that it simply "pushes" into the grove, no glue, no issues. I also went around the backs of the seats and tops of the c pillars. Here are the c pillars

HAHA you know i got one of these. hurst short shifter with chrome T bar installed and hurst magnaflow stainless exhaust etc. your interior looks awesome!!!!!! the mopar auto stick looked really nice but was only offered in auto, plus the short shift is awesome!!!!
Where does this come from???

another great idea. i live in windsor ontario, one mile SOUTH of detroit in canada. a quarter of us in windsor are so american (me included ...love the US) and i hate metric. 345 CI looks awesome on the hood!
How about getting rid of the metric system for engine displacement for going retro?

can you guess the catback?

however, in future I'd like to do what wyoming did with a Super B wing; cervini ram air, and custom paint the engine cover & the cervini ram air underhood attachment; long term some savini custom color rims and Goodyear F-1's. Then, I'll be ready for some racing! Have a great day!

My application of real valve covers same as Hemi31's.
