Getting ready to pull the trigger Diablo with 180tsat setup ,one of the vendors has a deal going on but its a 25.00 dollar price increase for the jett over the motorad, not really worried so much about the extra 25.00 dollars but is there a performance differance between the 2?

I've been using the Motorad for 2 hot Houston summers now with no problems.
I did have to reduce the diameter slightly to make it seat properly since it
was a little too large. A file or grinding wheel is all you'll need, as it's a very
minor amount of material to remove.

I like seeing the needle a click lower than stock in these hot summers.

I've got the Jett. It fits without trimming, it's stainless, it's the fail-safe design. Yep it costs a bit more but it's worth it. A T-Stat failure in a Hemi would be a disaster. In this area I wouldn't let a few $$$ be a determining factor.

A lot of vendors are bundling these with DSP and other items. Good investment without a doubt.

The Jet was a perfect fit - just as good as the OEM, and looked more robust than the stock t-stat too. No familiar with the Motorad brand - it might be just as good as the Jet, but I doubt it. For the amount of money invested in this machine, I'd rather spend a little extra for the peace of mind that the stainless fail safe design provides.

The motorad is actually a 185* T-stat, even though it is marketed as a 180.

The Jett is a true 180 T-stat and will open full at 180.

As I was looking into this mod I found that Motorad/valuecraft/whatever 4128 is actually a 185* t-stat. but everybody calls it a 180* t-stat. The Jet is actually a calibrated 180* t-stat.

In addition I liked;
the stainless construction,
the higher degree of accuracy or precision for more consistent temps,
the lifetime warranty,
the fact that it correctly fit the water neck without needing to freeze of file, and that it included it's own gasket.

Lastly I've used Jet before in other cars without issue.

once I get this tstat do I have reset anything with a tune or does the fan adjust to the new tsat?
