Trying to decide which one, your thought please.

Regarding dyno #'s....I'm not sure if there's any HP benefit or not....but I wouldn't be really looking for that, if I bought one.
I'd be more interested in the better throttle response that's been reported by some here who have got one.
Though a minor power gain would be a bonus, it's the mushy throttle that drives me crazy.

The more air you blow the more HP you make. Modern Muscle says this dyno test was independently done of the MM TB's - 2.7 3.5 V6 5.7 6.1 Hemi high velocity CNC throttle body LX The shaft that the butterfly valve sits on in a TB restricts air flow. The Fastman TB has half of the shaft removed increasing the amount of air through the TB. The Modern Muscle TB does not have half of the shaft removed so it has the stock 64mm, my Fastman TB is now 3mm bigger and $130 cheaper than the MM TB. ENTERPRISE can now warp to 60 in 6.4 seconds after installing the Fastman TB.

"If looking for a true 80mm through bore it does not exist. Not here, not on
Ebay, nor anywhere's on earth. There is not enough meat in the stock casting
and besides... That would be absolutely ridiculously huge for a small 3.6L
motor.
On my modified 3.6 TB the front opening is radiused at max 80mm opening
tapering back to the stock bore. The shaft is halved picking up 3.50mm.
Pretty much exactly the same mods as my popular Standard Hemi TB's I do but
in the smaller version 3.6 Tbody. More than enough air flow for your needs.
Much better throttle response and an all around performance gain. They are
a direct factory replacement for your 2012 Challenger.
If interested in purchasing or have any questions please let me know. I
look forward to helping you meet your performance needs."

Me: "Well all sounds awsome with the information you have provided. I am interested in purchasing one but in the picture you have provided for the TB shows a "lip" on the inside, Would that be bored down?
And also would you say your TB are just as good/if not better than ModernMuscle's Ported TB and Also Speedlogix? Sorry for the questions, I am just trying to find the best deal."

"I can radius the lip slightly. I cannot get to close to the blade or I will send off codes and lightning bolts. Been there done that.
I have been in competition with many vendors since 1999. I am still in business with an excellent reputation over the years.
I looked at your mentioned competitors. Misrepresented sized TB’s and Overpriced. The other looks like a subvendor for the same after mentioned junk and China.
Ask them what is the blade size in their TB’s? -I will answer that for you. Stock.
You see the lip. They have an even worse lip in their poor design.
Your good eyes failed to see a very important advantage of the Fastman TB. The shaft! Look what I have done. It is halved. Now you have a true 3.50mm advantage over there claimed sized TB’s and much better air flow.
Let’s see. I have them matched for size and I have a much better shaft design and I have a better price.
Nobody beats me and I do not have to misrepresent my products."

Just put my order in for the Fastman Throttle body. This is my pick for the
best possible chance to get any gain from doing this throttle body mod, my choices are based
on many years of hot rodding old school technology- bbc, sbc, tunnel rams, blower,
building my own engines and combo's for over 25 years.

Lot of this knowledge
transfers to these computer cars, it the same air pump under all the plastic
and wires. Make it easier for the air to get in and make it easier for the air to get out
will always make more power. some of the smallest places makes a difference.

You do a lot of small changes to make big improvements this is what
seperates the winners and the losers.

so a free flowing air filter system, with a ported throttle body and ported intake manifold
will make the engine more responsive, I don't need a dyno to tell me if it worth it
because it is. What comes in, needs to get out, so any improvement on the exhaust just
helps this engine more.

Folks always looking for ONE part to make big horspower, it's never one part, it's all the small parts
that make the difference.

I put on these small parts, cai, ported throttle body, ported intake, solo exhaust on my little 3.6
would you be willing to bet you stock 3.6 with no mods will still beat mine? All these parts
together will make a difference, the dyno won't go backwards this I know, because all these mods
help the engine breathe better, move more air and oxygen faster/better more efficiently.

Just a fyi removing the butterfly and messing with the shaft is what causes issues with other ported TBs just do a search and you will see. Not saying it always happens but beware, As for the fastman being cheaper that is because he only ports one side.
We sold over 400 TBs last year between us and our vendor partners not one unsatisfied customer, Feel free to read the feedback on our and other vendors sites.

Yes my Fastman TB is not ported in the back which means it mates perfectly to the stock intake manifold. If the back of the TB was ported, made bigger the air flowing through it would run into the lip, the edge of the stock intake manifold resulting in less than optimal air flow. Fortunately for SXT owners they can buy a Modern Muscle 3.6 ported intake which would take full advantage of a TB ported on the back. Having half of the shaft removed making the Fastman TB 3.50mm bigger is more important than having the back of TB ported on my motor. There is a thread where several Hemis have thrown codes with the Fastman TB. The moderator Walaby says about his HEMI- Last night I swapped throttle bodies, installing the modified body. Today was my first day driving and all I can say is, folks, if you haven't done this mod, you need to. The throttle response is vastly improved in my opinion, and it now responds the way it should off the show room floor. Personally, I think Dodge should contract with Fastman to modify all stock T/B's as part of their build process. It is a significant difference. Smoother acceleration, quicker throttle response, and just overall better driving experience. http://www.challengertalk.com/forum.../f175/fastman-throttle-body-modification-68835/?highlight=fastman+throttle+body

I would like to ask you gear heads a question:

I have a stock 2012 R/T Auto no tune, but i do have a K/N drop in filter, and a 6.1 air intake tube, and flowmaster force2, running 93 octane all the time!! for now I'm keeping my R/T stock...

Question: I would like to take off my TB and just polish the heck out of it so i can let that air flow nice and easy and I'm sure i will get a better response?

I remember back in the day guys were polishing the carburetors with polishing compound would this have the same affect polishing the TB?

I see the TB plate has two Phillip screws holding it together for alignment, would it be difficult to put it back together for an alignment? do these screws strip easy? I'm just curious because i have never done this before..
