Thanks everyone! So now I'm vacillating between Poorboy's and Adams! LOL I just like the looks and feel of carnuba based waxes. Whichever I go with, I'll be starting off with hand polishing and waxing. A little apprehensive about using a machine. Only because I messed up my Ram truck with one years ago. :)

OChallenger, a couple of questions for you:

1) What are you using on the stripes?

2) How do you like that cam?
A dual action is very "burn" proof on the paint, super easy to use, and the Nattys is caranuba

I use the buffer over the stripes, all waxes I listed

Loving the cam! Don't think I'll ever get tired of it!!

I should have clarified that because of the carnuba, it put Poorboy's ahead of Zaino. So now it's between Adams and Poorboy's LOL!! I think I'll get sample packs of both and see what I like.

I'm seriously considering either the Max Plus or the SRT boost as I would like to throw a blower on her next year - probably the Vortech.

I've used both for years, including combining their use. (Yes, I know, sacrilege.)

Here's my take: If you want to actually correct the paint, as well as get a great shine then use the Adams.
Now no doubt, Zaino is some amazing stuff, but it's more of a paint flaw filler/hider than an actual correction agent.
Zaino will also take longer what with it's multiple steps and extended curing times.
Adams will correct the paint and help it stay corrected.

Must have been awhile since you last bought Zaino Products. They now have a product called Zaino ZPC that has Actual Corrective Abilities.

I used the Zaino when I first got my car worked well... then moved on to Adams for paint correction to say the least it worked great as I got educated on the products I have moved over Chemical Guys products it's usually a 5 step process when getting ready for shows...

Your biggest challenge would be getting your paint corrected, clay bar, polish, then locking it in with a sealer once your satisfied with the finish then some top coating with a high quality product. This will give you very nice protection here's a friends B5 that was done over the summer...

Another loyal Adam's fan here. Here's some pics of my Tungsten Challenger after:

1. Proper Two Bucket Wash
2. Full Clay barring of the car
3. Paint correction with PC-7424XP using:
a. Swirl & Haze Remover
b. Fine Machine Polish
4. Spray on Quick Sealant to protect the paint

Needless to say, I'm sold. And each time I do a full wash, it just seems to get shinier. I was a Megiuar's guy for years, and got good results, but nothing like this.

Ended up buying Adams. A whole boatload of Adams! lol. I'm starting with hand polishing first and getting used to that before moving up to machine polishing. I had looked very closely at the paint before I put it away and I can't see any swirls or scratches so I think I'll be ok with hand correcting. I'm sure that by mid summer, I'll end up going the machine route. :) I'm hoping I can pull her out from hibernation in about 3 weeks and strip her down, clay, polish, seal and wax.

I ended up with buying their towel bundle, premium hand polish and car wax kit with the Americana carnuba, wheel and undercarriage kit, a clearance bottle of orginal detail spray, brilliant glaze, the waterless car wash collection, and the perfect interior kit.:D

Good deal! Keep us posted. Got any other questions, hit us up!

I use SVRT on all black trim/Tires, on dash I use I use leather conditioner for its SPF properties. SVRT has higher SPF but its kind of glosses it up and me no likey. You can use SVRT higher SPF+ Gloss or Leather Conditioner Lower SPF hardly no gloss.

I would check with the gang on the Adams Forums great bunch of guys there.

And do you Adams guys use the VRT on the spoiler and all the other black trim ( mud guards, bottom rockers, radiator cover, etc.)?

I don't use Adam's or Zaino's.....Nothing against either of them, but I prefer products from The Chemical Guys....Reasonably priced and the results are outstanding!

Here a photo to show the results on a car that is 18 months old, always parked outside.....

All your rides are absolutely beautiful guys. Thanks for all your input. I'd have to say what really makes the car is the attention to detail you all put into your cars regardless of the product used. Thanks for all your help. :respect:

I'm going to hit the detailing forums hard the next several weeks and I'm looking forward to showing my results here in several weeks.

Now to start saving for an exterior polished intake AND a new cam!:)

Good looking car!
Besides making a great product I really appreciate Adams how to videos and their assistance on the forums answering questions.

Zaino makes KILLER stuff. They really do. I'm not gonna sway you either way, you're a grown up and can decide for yourself. But here's what I'll tell you about how & why I GOT HOOKED, and now work for Adam's:
1) Industry's ONLY 110% money-back guarantee. They will REFUND you 110% of what you paid, if you're not blown away with the results.
2) Having somebody to talk to when you had questions, BIG help.
3) Their own forum for feedback, input, interaction, and learning.
4) The results of the products were absolutely astonishing.
5) Right down to the boxes they ship product in, MADE IN THE USA. If there's EVER a product that's NOT made in the USA (which are VERY few, like a couple of tools that they offer), they are SURE to get them from a country with fair labor laws.
6) Everything smells delicious.
7) Our video series to help YOU practice technique from the best.

Yup. There's TONS of great stuff out there. But when it came down to it for ME, it was the whole package about the Adam's Polishes lifestyle that got me hooked. And lastly....for YOUR benefit....you have ME here to help ya. Is there a Zaino, Chemical Guys, or any other rep on this site for your needs?? :)

^^^^^^EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID!!!! I use Len Grantham in HSV,AL I've never been disappointed with the adams products... I love the VRT (tire shine) it doesn't slide ofd your tires as son as your drive down the road which is nice for the next time you wash your car you don't have to try and take it off your paint

Holy crap i bought a lot!

Well I went with Adam's and went on a buying spree! LOL I got the detailing towel bundle and since they are out of the single soft towels, the substituted in the double softs! THANK YOU GUYS! :eek:hyeah:I also got their premium hand polish and car wax kit with the Americana Carnuba wax, their wheel and undercarriage kt, the perfect interior kit, a bottle of the original formula detail spray since it was on sale, a bottle of the brilliant glaze, a gallon of the car wash, the waterless car wash collection, and a gallon of the all purpose cleaner. All in all for towels I ended up with 6 utility towels, 9 glass cleaner towels, 5 double softs, 2 waterless waffle weave and 1 great white waffle drying towel. Also their tire brush, long handled wheel brush, long handled boar's head brush and the interior brush. And let's not forget all the applicators!!:D

I think all I need now is the In and Out spray, the metal polishes for the exhaust tips, the Quick Sealant, the glass sealer, and the lug nut brush and I should be all set!

That is until I graduate to a machine polisher.....:p
