Looking into a new set of wheels and tires for my RT. After a lot of research, I was able to narrow down between these two:

275/305 Mickey Thompson Street Comp:

From what I was able conclude so far from researching the forum and other places online, it seems the Continental Sport 2 will have a better handling, while the MT will have better launch due to more soft walls. MT will wear slightly faster but are cheaper.

Assuming fitment is figured out and not a problem. No need to debate.

These are for daily driving, mix of dry and mild wet. No snow or heavy rain. I do not race in the streets, but I do occasionally go to an isolated farm road to do some 0-60 pulls, which is where I have some fun with it.

Please vote the one you think it's best for the scenario described.

Questions:
1. Does anybody have recent experience with them? How was it?
2. Do they grip well? Did they improved your 0-60?
3. How did they do in mild rain?
3. In the future, I plan to get some rear MT drag radials for track days, it seems they would pair well with the MT Street Comp in the front. Is that true? Or it wouldn't matter if Continentals are in the front? I do not plan to get the tiny front ones.

Pictures are also much appreciated!

Thank you!

I have 315 Continental on the back of my Challenger and M/T Sportsman on my 32 Coupe. I know it's not the same M/T, but I will tell you I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the Continental sticks for a non-drag-type tire. The Coupe has more HP/TQ than the Challenger, so both have challenges with keeping the tires planted. In my opinion, I would go with the Continental for the ride quality, but if you like to race more, then switch to the M/T, both are great tires!

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. It seems the conti are superior to the MT Street Comp. Too bad they are so much more expensive hehehe. I think I will end up going with the Conti.

Nice ride! I really like those wheels. Been looking into replica wheels that are flow formed to keep the rotational mass weight in check.

How crazy can you go on the street?

Unless maybe you are married to the local sheriff?

Get whatever is on sale

They all look the same when you are rolling or parked

340 Cuda turned me onto the coopers when they were $125 a corner

Score

They hook half decent too

Bout same as a good Nitto imo

Check yer pm
Hahaha. Nice!

Thanks for the reply. The MT Street Comp is much cheaper, but I am hearing to many things about the Continentals that still gets be thinking.
