Welcome to Challengertalk ;) Is there obvious physical issues with the screen? Bubble, line, etc.? Are you getting "ghost touches"? There are multiple threads on this for the 2017 model Challengers here

I have this exact problem with my 2017 with the bubble line and severe ghost touches. How do I fix. New digitizer? Please help

Welcome to Challengertalk ;) Yes, the new digitizer is the fix. Assuming you are out of warranty, you can try and see if Dodge will diagnose and agree to do a good will repair, but they are not bound to. If you are interested, and DodgeCares sees this, they can PM you for more info. Just reply that yes, you'd like them to please assist if they can. If/when they see this, they can send you a PM

I am out of warranty. How do I find out the head unit's model# so I can find correct digitizer? Or should I try to let dodge work with me?

Up to you. I'd try to see if Dodge can help you out unless they want to charge for a diagnosis. I'm not sure if part# is just HU model? For instance a 2017 Uconnect is either UAS (non Nav) or UAQ (Nav). I would have these guys confirm

I have a 2018 T/A with 9k on it, my radio screen appears to have water in the top part, every time it rains I get a blue screen and it wont turn off, if I wash my car I go about 2 days without a radio. If it gets below 32 degrees I have noticed that it freezes as well. This will be my 4th time to the shop without a resolution.

Allison of Dodge Cares: I've had this identical issue...and contacted what I thought was your Department (or at least what the sympathetic local dealer rep gave me as a phone number). But the young representative on the phone merely stuck to "it's out of the three year warranty period..." - and I was screwed this time.

Perhaps YOU can now look into my getting the same, appropriate treatment that some of my brothers have gotten here (please). It's one thing that it's from use and abuse...but its another if it is CLEARLY a manufacturing defect regardless of use or mileage!

As it turns out, I only have 22,000 miles on my 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus (VIN 2C3CDZAG8HH501196).

Please help...for my next purchase of a Challenger (as early as sometime late 2022) may not otherwise happen if clear, manufacturing defects are not stood behind...

You may contact me at Ken@Arnoldforyou.com or at 847-207-1167.

I have a 2017 scat pack with 25k miles on it. I’ve been experiencing the same issues I’ve seen in threads with the screen going crazy and it being a “ delaminating issue”. I’ve called dealerships around my area (LA county ) and I’ve been told just to see the car and diagnose it’s a $150 dollar charge. For a new screen/unit with installlation is $1,350. I’m so blown away that at 25k miles this is an issue. I treat my car like a baby and shouldn’t have these type of issues on an expensive car.
I’m new to the forum and can’t figure out how to direct message dodgecares. I click on their profile but there’s no option for direct message. Does anyone have a number I can call? I’m hoping for a miracle in getting this resolved :(

hope you get this resolved. $1400 is a tough pill to swallow for something like this. I had intermittent problems with my RAM, part of the reason I traded it in. 2014 Jeep GC and the Challenger have been fine.

I'll be curious to see how this works out, good luck.

This is the reason I never touch (and therefore don't have to clean) my screen.
I use a padded computer stylus.
We see this all too often. It needs to be addressed. Good luck.

Currently having issues (jumping stations, modes, etc on it's own) with my Uconnect 8.4 on my 2017 Challenger ScatPack. From the pic I attached I'd say it's due to delamination. Bought it used 5 months ago, have an extended warranty but I have to say this is upsetting. I did not notice this until 4 months after I bought it, had no problems at all so I really hope it's not something that was forming when I bought it? Now I can't even use it without having to do a soft reboot multiple times in a day. Tried getting an appointment but they are booked until the end of October. I'll lose my mind by then! I've heard @DodgeCares might be able to assist so wanted to put this out there for some advice?

From what I have heard, Dodge will only replace the entire unit. The other route you can take is to just replace the defective screen. It will cost you a few hundred dollars. Check with a company that replaces electronic screens as this is now becoming a more popular service. You can call Up-Fix Electronic Screen & Module Repair at (888) 979-9343. In the meantime, I would read what your warranty will cover as some won't cover electronics. Your first trip to the dealer will have them diagnose your concern and from the photo that you posted, it looks like screen delamination. Next, they will have to get approval from you warranty company and then order a new or rebuilt radio unit. You will probably need another appointment to have them change out the radio.
