I do have the proper part # as I called dodge and made sure I also ordered a second part just to see if the first was faulty.

 

Is the connector on backwards? Try reversing the polarity.

Did you happen to replace the relays? Is the new actuator an OEM (MOPAR) part, purchased from Dodge?

 

Purchased from Amazon but the same part # as the one dodge said I’d get. And I did not replace relays

 

Sounds to me like the replacement actuator is wired in reverse. That, or you could be using two left or right side actuators. I've never replaced a Dodge actuator, so I don't know how they mount? If they use a cable, I would expect them to share the same polarity, but maybe not.

 

Sounds like perhaps a non legit part on Amazon wouldn't be the first time for that kind of stuff.

 

You need to return that actuator and get one from Mopar, preferably from a dealership.

 

Pull the new a actuator off and bench test it to verify proper (or improper in this case) operation.

If it doesn’t operate in the expected manner during bench tests, return it and source one from a different place. Steve White, Rock Auto, Autozone, etc. I would trust parts from any of those place before I would something Amazon has for sale.

 

Most places do not take returns or refund electrical items...

If it’s aftermarket you may need to switch the wires at the connector.
