When I bought my 392, I bought with it for about $400 the road hazard tire and wheel protection, which has a $5000 maximum lifetime payout.

I then learn that Fidelity "contracted" this out of to a 3rd party company called JMA Group.

Coverage only occurs if its road hazard causes the damage.

So last November I hit a hunk of a brink in the road, and it popped up digging a chunk/slice out of the tire bead, and taking a ding out of the rim edge. Not horrible, but still none the less damage caused by a road hazard, and immediately pulled over and took pictures of the damage.

I waited to turn it in because the tire has held air, but up until a few weeks ago, it started to lose air. Upon the incident occurring I called the warranty company to verify coverages, and was told to contact the dealer when the tire was failing to hold air.... I did not like their answer, but was like "whatever".

I scheduled with my dealer to have it, and a few other things dealt with, dealer concurred with the damages, and called it in to Fidelity.

First they denied the coverage, and then said the car had to wait at the dealer for them to send out a inspector. So I had to work that into my schedule, and go back again. It took him 1.5 days to get out there.

Then when he finally showed up he took pictures of the wrong part of the wheel, they denied coverages, again.

So I go back to the dealer, and we take pictures of the right damages and provide to them the original pictures taken by me.... guess what.. they denied coverages again.

I spent on the phone today talking to some claims rep explaining to him the damages, and that it fails to hold air... he just plain argues with me, and wants to me go back to the dealer AGAIN... and have the service manager look at it... like this guy is going to give him a different answer than my adviser and techs.

I have lost over 8 hours of work, 2 days + of use on the car... and am driving on a damaged tire and wheel.

If you look closely you can also see the wheel appears to be slightly bent as well....

So stupid... never have dealt with a more worthless company in the world.... so if you have Fidelity or JMA (aka: Courteous Insurance), and you have damages.. be ready for a battle to get them to payout....

You have a valid claim and they should make good on the coverage. Third party warranty is always shady, and the dealer should at the very least refund the entire premium back to you if you are not satisfied with the tactics of this company. The dealers make a nice buck on the sale of the policy, it should be a reputable company they chose to deal with.

One good thing on my side is here in AZ because they are backed by a "insurance company" I can seek remedy via the AZ Director of Insurance Department.... I might just call in a complaint "just because" of the hassles they have put me through.

occasionally we deal with Fidelity and JMA, have nothing good to say about either one, there is some very good aftermarket service contract suppliers, but not many from a dearlership stand point
Chrysler is always best, we have had good luck with GE or Warranty Solutions, both are owned by Wachovia bank....

i just love it when a customer has a vehicle we didnt sell with some oddball service contract supplier and they think that we need to absorb whatever difference their contract wont pay.....or better yet, they declined work and they take it out on us.....

have dealt with JMA regarding claims like this, with the damage i see in your pictures, they will never pay that claim, they expect the wheel destroyed to a point where the tire will not even bead up before they will pay....

When I get through with ripping them publicly they are goona wish they did... the guy on the phone (his name is JOHN).

I will at least get my $400 of value out of letting EVERYONE know how they really are....

Even my dealer is sick of working with them.... as each time I show up and they demand something it costs my dealer tech, and management time which equates to dollars.

Last time I dealt with a company like this (over a whole $70) I let them know that I would be contacting the attorney general to file a complaint and I would be all over the internet collecting names for a class action lawsuit. I had an answer within the hour that they "magically" found my paperwork was actually right and my $70 would be sent out asap.
These companies are slime and you can't play softball with them. Hit them fast and hit them hard. By the way, the person I left this message with was the VP. I tracked down his cell phone number on LinkedIn and called him directly to get my message across loud and clear. Good luck!

Don't waste your time with the BBB, they are totally useless. They are only in business to collect money from businesses and do absolutely nothing to help the business or consumer. I've dealt with them from both sides - consumer and business owner - and they were ineffective and useless every time.

Nice job on your work so far!

I agree on the BBB, but I went ahead and did it... since it only took me 15 minutes to complete it..

So far my complaints have been filed with:

AZ Attorney General
Rip Off Report
BBB

Next will be with the AZ Department of Insurance

Also, I reviewed in contract in FULL, and NOWHERE does it say what they are doing is how the claim will be handled.

Finally, after fighting with these A$$hats from Fidelity, got them to replace the tire and rim.

I made one last trip to dealer last night, and the service manager took one look, and said, yes, I see the damage, the wheel is slightly bent also. Told my advisor to get on the horn with Fidelity and demand that it be taken care of.

They asked me to hang around while they talked with them on the phone, so I gleefully went and look at the other SRT-8s they had on the lot... (not that I needed any reason to do that)

The wheel and tire will be in on Wednesday, they will have it all mounted and balanced for me when I get there, so should be a quick 10 minutes in and out.

Now, I am still not dropping my complaints on them, they need to learn that customers who pay for a service need to get what they pay for and not be dragged through the mud to get it.
