Paddle shifter won't "up shift"

I don't usually use my paddle shifters on the steering wheel, but...today I decided to play with them. I pushed the center console shifter to the right and put it into manual mode. It showed first gear. Started to accelerate and the up shift paddle shifter would not go up a gear. It would work from the center console shifter and it would down shift from the paddle shift......just no up shift. I'm due for an oil change this week and I have the MOPAR Lifetime Warranty. Anyone ever have this issue and what was the cause and correction ?
Thanks for any info.

I have a 2013 and have had that problem. I have solved it in two ways. Pull the number 2 fuse for a min. Then try it. I have also used a piece of paper and slid it between the switch and steering wheel. I believe trash can get between the contacts on the paddle. Also the #2 fuse is adaptives. If you dont use it , it adaptes to not working.

When I go to the track I use the shifter. I don't trust the paddles. Both those fixes I mentioned have worked at one time or another.

Today I just started banging on the "up shifter paddle" and the situation corrected itself. Problem solved. I do need to pull the #2 fuse......its been a while.

It used to bother me a lot when I first got mine. I even had it where pressing either the upshift or downshift paddle would cause a downshift, but pressing both paddles would cause an upshift...weird.

Some online threads claim it has to do with how the computer reads the voltage of the upshift/downshift paddle but I am not certain. + Paddle = Downshift... Solved? :/

One thing for sure is that a Dodge seems to have no initiative to fix it; A couple years ago they released a bulletin saying owners need to press the upshift longer and harder.

I have found two "fixes" that work for me whenever my upshift paddle faults. First, I found keeping it on a battery tender decreased the chances of me experiencing the fault. Second, if I do encounter the fault cycling the volume up, down, and change audio input button makes the upshift work again. Basically press all the audio buttons attached to that paddle shifter. While it does seem strange and baseless but it seems to do the trick for me. Also looks like pulling the #2 fuse would be worth try as well.
