Removing scratches from matte vinyl stripes

I have some scratches in the matte vinyl wrap on my hood. Nothing I know of will make them go away. Best luck I've had is using Chemical Guys VRP. This seems to hide the scratches pretty well. You'll need to clean your stripes with denatured alcohol to remove car wash wax/chemicals etc.
Then apply the VRP as per directions. In my case, the VRP was blotchy as it soaked into the vinyl. I had to do several coats and use a polisher to smooth the blotchyness out. As a bonus,my matte vinyl is noticeably darker now. So much so I wound up doing the roof and trunk also. Its time to re apply the VRP. I first did it 2 years ago. I did it again last year. In between VRP treatment I use Chemical Guys Matte Detailer every wash or so.

This is the scratches after first treatment. Have to zoom in the red circle. Looks like dog claws did them originally.

VRP coating applied on left side only in this picture.

If I remember correctly it took a couple hours for the VRP to fully dry. Dont try to use it in sunlight.

Thanks for the tips, when you say blotchy what do you mean? I was concerned polishing it in with a microfiber would shine the stripe which is what I want to avoid at all costs. I do like the idea of making the stripe slightly darker like you said VRP does.
When I first applied it, as it was soaking in, you could see my swirls from the application cloth. I put a clean fleece pad on my polisher and blended it all in.

I've pretty much had to do that with any treatments to the matte wrap. Had same issues with my old Camaro 1LE hood.
