Destroyer Grey has to be my absolute least favorite grey, I can't believe that the one shade of grey I didn't find objectionable is being replaced by DG. It wasn't my first choice of color, but I did consider getting SmokeShow...and then spraying it with a satin flattening coat. If it's going to look like primer, it can't be shiny.

just do xpel stealth PPF on top of it.

as far as them being cheaper... when I sold my first 2021 smoke show hellcat in March I got more than MSRP for it and that was from a Ford dealership

You lose credibility when she’s your back up plan, what a skank. That whole family is famous because their father (Robert) was OJ’s friend. He was only put on his legal team so he couldn’t be called to testify since there’s attorney client privilege. Se how everything is orchestrated in life.

Colors are personal but as ive said before in all the cars ive owned Ive never got more compliments on a car color than I do Smoke Show. Thats just fact.

Ppl dont ask how much power it has they ask what color it is. Im doubting anyone says that with black or white..... I happen to love the black and white Challengers tho. Especially the white with black hood.

Comparing an ugly ass color like Fusia to Smoke Show is a terrible example to use bro lol.

U may not care about rare but a car collector will some day.....

Rare doesnt always mean much. Fusia is kind of rare, I still wouldnt want one. Same applies to Smoke Show. I dont care about rare, I buy what I like. Dont care if all of my neighbors have the same thing or if it was on every street corner. None of that influences how I choose colors.

To many people it’s a perfect example. Remember, “colors are personal”. That goes both ways. Both colors are sort of rare but also ugly to a lot of people. Just look at the mixed comments here alone. Fusia people get tons of compliments too. Any color aside from black or white will on these cars. Compliments don't mean it will be worth more money or somehow be a collectible. I‘m not knocking your choice, I just dont believe that because fewer people like it enough to order it and there are less of them that that would translate into collectible. My point was just that rarity isnt alway automatic higher value. Your comment on ugly ass Fusia sort of proves that. Maybe I’m wrong and down the road you’ll have a hot item but that's how I see it right now.

My dad (81) has a Gold Rush 50th. He frequently tells me" I've never gotten compliments on a car like I do this one, everyone loves the color".

Fascia Challengers are likely the coolest BECAUSE of the color rarity.

No arguing which color should be, get what you like.
Mine goes to Smoke show :)
Yeah it's funny... I googled most forgiving paint colors and the top 3 were...

Gray (smoke show)
silver (triple nickel)
white (white knuckle)

My previous Challengers were torred and pitch black. The red was fine... never again on the black.

The new order is triple nickel which was my top choice. This isn't the exact car I'm getting... but close enough for visuals.

Terrible example indeed.

I can get "Smoke show" out of my B5's rear wheelwells on demand. 😆 🤣 😂 😹

I've yet to get FF coming out.

"U may not care about rare but a car collector will some day....."

Some day, like around 2060 maybe.

Even then, doubtful. It’s not some holy grail cult classic color. It‘s gray lol.

I’m sure I’ve said it a million times. But. The right car can be baby-sh!t green with a paisley vinyl top and, if it’s in pristine condition, it‘ll both desirable and valuable. The best predictor of future sought-afterness is how popular a car is when it’s being produced. If it’s got a cult following, the lowest trim on the totem pole in the worst color will be in demand in years to come. If one doesn’t think so, just peruse what ‘68 Chargers or ‘69 Camaros bring. No matter the color. No matter the trim level. No matter what options. I bought a one owner ‘69 Camaro in 1990 for 5k. Blue with a white vinyl top and white interior. 350 auto. Running driver, good car, but far from perfect. It was about a $3500 car new. I drove it about 5 years and for various reasons and responsibilities, parked it. It was inside, but hadn’t been cranked in 25 years or more, needed a windshield, various trim parts, and a gas tank, but was rust free and had never been wrecked. I just sold it for 29k. It did not last one full day on FB marketplace. In hindsight I probably could have gotten more. We got numerous inquiries in about 12 hours from serious people. It’s not color or specific rarity or lack thereof that will make any given car desirable in the future. It’s original popularity and current condition. Every time.

There are a couple axioms in the antique collecting world to keep in mind, such as- Being old doesn't mean that something is collectible; "rarity" doesn't equate to desirability; and limited availability of a desirable collectible does equate to value. Just don't bet that what is hot and trending today will be valuable in the future, avocado appliances and gold lamé should be evidence enough.

Im not much into collectability. Ive got a gwe srt and its pretty rare and sure hasnt gone up in value. They made just to many of these challenger to make the collectors. My guess is the only chance might be a hellcat if there discontinued and i doubt the color will make much difference 30 years from now in them. Look at the hemi cuda of the 70s or an ss chevelle. Color doesnt mean much in the collector world on them. Its about solely condition and originality. What makes another big money diffence is horse power. The ls6 chevelle sells for more then the 396s and the hemis sell for more then the 440s. Personaly i think its nuts to put a modern challenger up on blocks hoping to make money off of it down the road. The cost of living will increase more then the car.

IMO NONE of these cars will be collectible in the future
1) most of "us" will be dead, so if it is collectible you will see zero return
2) again most of "us" will be dead, no one will care about these cars
3) very very few younger people care about cars
4) cars are only transportation in the future, most are now.
5) whoever you leave it to will either scrap it or sell it for pennies on the dollar

Does that color hold up well to water spots.?
Lighter colors seem to do better from rain, with heat.
I’m assuming it does. I was just reading the other day about favorable colors and the top 3 were gray, silver, white… with gray and silver being higher than white because they show less dirt especially in rainy conditions.

All 3 colors don’t heat up like dark colors do and you don’t have nearly the issues with baked on water spots.

My detailer actually told me all this 6 months ago when I bought this black car off the lot and I didn’t listen. I wish I had. It’s been a nightmare and I’m in Washington state which isn’t nearly as sunny and hot as Florida or Texas.

I ordered a new Challenger the other day… in silver Triple Nickel.
