SRT Springs on RT

Hey all, For those of you that put SRT springs on your RT, what dampeners did you use? And you do have an Auto or 6speed?

I have a Auto and I am trying to decide between SRT or Eibach springs. With the Eibach, I can get the kit that comes with dampeners. But the SRT springs off Takeoffparts dot com include the Bilstein load leveling shocks.

My car is a daily driver and I want to do this mod mainly for looks. I would like to keep it from being overly stiff and have heard the SRT springs are a little better in that area. And re-using the stock dampeners with the lower springs can create a harsh ride. And I am not sure what load leveling shocks would do for an Auto.

What dampeners are you guys using?

I have the Eibach Pro Kit (Springs and Shocks) on mine and the ride is still awesome. Not harsh at all. Dropped the car about 1.7 inches. I do have to take speed bumbs slower now lol

I replaced my R/T shocks and springs with the SRT shocks and springs from takoffauto. The car is not much lower, the ride is not really that harsh but the handling just feels so much better. The only thing that keeps me from taking corners at extreme speeds is me not wanting to kill myself. The car hugs the road with very little body roll. It took some time and frustration to do the swap myself but it as been well worth it.

I am also trying to decide between the SRT8 springs/shocks and the Eibach kit mostly for the lowering aspect so I went to the dealer today and measured (center of each wheel well) the height of an SRT8 compared to my RT. Results are 1" lower difference in the front but exact same measurement for the back, my guess is to give the SRT8 more of a raked look.

Still undecided on which to go with though because the SRT8 would be about half the cost of the Eibach set.

Off topic, I did get the front sway swaybar that I ordered with my Mopar bucks installed, took less than 30 minutes and made a huge difference on the cornering. The rear swaybar will take a few hours to put on so I will probably wait and tackle the springs/shocks at the same time.

From what I read, the stock sway bars from the RT and SRT are the same at 30mm and 16mm except I believe Super Track Pack getting a 19mm rear bar. The upgrade kit from Mopar (Item# P5155239 ) gets you a 32mm front and 19mm rear so STP cars shouldn't need to do the rear since it already has the 19mm bar.

Surprisingly the 2mm upgrade on the front makes a huge difference in the handling over stock.
