Hello everyone. Have had my challenger for quite some time now 18(RT) and i am shopping around for rotors and pads. I got quoted 750 for all stock OEM pads rotors front+rear and wanted to hear youre guys thoughts on the powerstop z26 pads and rotors which would only cost me around 590. Is there a performance or longevity advantage to one or the other. I just want to spend the least amount of money but have the best performance as well as lasting pads rotors for the buck. Any info would be appreciated.

I like the power stop pads, not a fan of their rotors.

I have the R1 Concept Rotors on my Pursuit. And I do ALOT of heavy driving in the mtns (including the Tail of the Dragon) I run the PowerStop Z37 Top-Cop; Carbon-Fiber Ceramic pads.

After three years they have done better than expected, however my last outing to the Tail with newer wider tires I really pushed the car and managed to actually get brake fade and hot spotted my rotors. Still stops fine but under heavy braking she'll shake a wee bit.

I am still happy with them although I am looking to go to a Semi-Metal brake pad for future use vs ceramic based.

I ran the Powerstop Z23 kit on my 2010 R/T for two years and about 30k miles till I traded it. They were an improvement over stock and the wheels stay CLEAN!!

Power Stops quotes a loss of 10% stopping power vs OEM with their pads but with much less brake dust. So, it depends on what is important to you. I paid for 6 piston BremBo’s for maximum performance. So, I’ll be staying with OEM.

Stoptech are said to have all the stopping power of OEM (for the 6 piston applications) without all the brake dust. I guess I will find out when I get a few more miles on my car. I don't see a reason to use PowerStop if you can get a clean wheel without the loss of performance from other brands. PowerStop must have a heck of a PR campaign going on.

I have Powerstops, installed myself. I like them, and notice no difference in braking power, but I know there is a little bit of a brake loss especially with ceramic pads, but very little brake dust.

If you plan to race at all I would stick with OEM.

I’m not going to lie my dad has used Ac Delco parts on my older cars for years and have always had long lasting success with thier rotors. Even tried them on my challenger and after 1.5 year and 15000 miles no pitted spots and still have a lot of meat one the bone. For 40 dollar rotors they are pretty good. I dailybdrive the car and obviously not doing anything crazy with it. I also like the z37 top cop brake pads.
