Looks like a good kit, but does anyone have a pic of it mounted on their car? Would like to see where it goes exactly and how noticable it is before comitting myself.

I used 82212110 and here's where I mounted mine above the license plate.

It works well enough for me, the image looks a bit skewed since I'm backed into a diagonal parking space.

For reference the wall where the yellow grid line hits it is about 18 inches away from my bumper.

One caveat of mounting it where I did is you will need to hookup a relay to your reverse light to turn off your license plate lamp at night when reversing, otherwise the license plate lamp will wash out the reverse cam image horribly.

same basic wiring, the only thing difference is the white connector doesnt come extra, however its usually found on the back of the radio anyway if the vehicle came with mygig radio....cheaper than the 810 kit, and the camera mount is about the same size as the other, we have been mouting them in the back lower trim of the rear fascia

Can you turn the lines off? I'd much rather just have the image.

With the ultra wide angle lens it has it would be difficult to properly judge distance w/o the lines.

I'm used to judging distances on wide-angle displays. Personal preference.

Mine didn't have one, it's a good thing I bought the one from you guys ;)

Need Help!
Had dealer add option code to my car Friday and flash TPIM. screen did not blank out in reverse. Installed camera over weekend Still does not work. Checked and triple checked connections Power to camera in reverse. Continuity on both signal and return wire. Wires in pin locations as per instructions for 8221346 kit. Made sure XAC code is in list and reflashed several times. checking TIPM config it shows rear camera present not set.

C3 radio plug Cam signal pin 3, Cam return Pin 4, Shield pin 5
Camera Cam return pin 2, cam signal pin 3, ground pin 5, backup feed pin 6

Ant ideas?

Had dealer remove camera and save then add camera and save. I think something happened weird when we added it. Going back at 5:30 to try reflash again so far Camera button does not show on radio. Also I noticed hardrive capacity shows 11 Gb when window sticker shows 30 GB. Has thier been an issue with this?

not that i know, once the option is properly added, you should see option for the back up camera in the radio menu, also, we have never added a back up source, with the old kit, we wire the connection at the radio, basically 5 wires, 3 to the radio, 2 one for power and one for ground, thats it

when you place the vehicle in reverse, the radio knows its in reverse and activates the screen.....very straight forward connections, however you cannot follow the instructions with the kit, not the same connection, please see our old posting with the pictures of the connector and wire placement
thanks
