Turn signals and wipers

I recently bought a 2009 Challenger SRT8 and the wipers, turn signals and brights along with the horn are not functioning. I took to the nearest dealer and they said it was the steering command control module and that new parts are discontinued. I took it to an independent shop and they also said the module was bad and that used ones would not function due to VIN issues. The part # is 68054491AA. I need this part or another solution. Everything else is fine electronics wise. It runs fantastic.

Did you try resetting the steering command module?

Don't remember who posted this:

Any time you have a dead or low battery
you have to re-set the Steering Angle Sensor
(this will trip off ESP, ABS error lights)

Make sure steering wheel is straight ahead
-start engine (leave in Park (auto) or Neutral (manual))

Sitting still do this:
turn steering full lock to Left and the full lock to Right and then back to center
-error messages should clear themselves

Well, after many months and the car sitting at the dealer, we have finally repaired the issue. After being told my SCCM was bad and replacing it with several diffferent used ones including the clockspring and the actual module and the multifunction switch and then the steering wheel control switches, the problem persisted. Chrysler engineering was involved and I was losing hope of it ever being fixed. I ran an AI learning model and input all of the findings with voltages checked etc.. and it said the wiring harness was shorted or the TIPM was bad. The mechanic and Chrysler assured the TIPM was not bad. I bought a TIPM refurbished installed it and the problems were fixed. A long and winding road but I can now enjoy this beast.

Thank you for the follow up. Wow....4 months.

Despite all this, I still don't understand the TIPM. Do you have photo of the old TIPM?

Who was your source?

If you replaced it yourself, what did you use as your guide?

==================

Stressed and frustrated over a faulty TIPM? You’re probably not the only one. Unfortunately, TIPM failure seems to be a pretty common issue, given how the 2011 Dodge Durangos and 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokees were recalled due to defective TIPMs.

To stay on top of the issue, it’s a great idea to learn more about your vehicle’s TIPM and how it works. But before all that, what exactly does TIPM stand for?

What Is a TIPM?

A Totally Integrated Power Module, or TIPM for short (and not “TIPM module” as most people think), is a fuse box, relay box, and electronic module all rolled into one. It’s a black box typically made of hard plastic with a power board and fuses inside.

If your vehicle has a TIPM, you’ve probably noticed that there are fewer wires under your hood. This is because TIPMs reduce the need for more wiring without compromising on functionality.
