You mean if you want to swap some 18" wheels?

A Guy

Good add, the Hellcat Widebody front springs are 313 lbs, and the Scat Pack Widebody have 359 lbs in the front

I understand 18" will not clear 6 piston, but the 1320 comes with 20x9.5" wheels, so assume he meant that people will want to swap 18"

Yeah ditto on the 1320 with 20's", and I don't know for sure, gotta check into that but don't remember a 1320 with 6-pistons. [emoji2956]

what are the differences between both widebody models?
One has a big beautiful Kitty badge on the fenders and SRT on the grill
......the other does not.

This thread is all over the place.
The wide-body package is more than just appearance. It's about more mechanical grip and handling on a road course. It's the polar opposite of the drag pack. And it is the same for the SPWB as it is for the HCWB, the difference is the engine, basically.

My brother has a SPWB and after the many times I have driven it - it's the only challenger for me. It is about much more than just appearance. It is actually 37lbs lighter than the standard scat pack (same weight savings with the HC I assume) because of the hollow anti-roll bars and the wheels being a little lighter as well.

It also has floating front rotors, like a Shelby GT350, and different springs and calibrated shocks as well.

It is the Goldilocks car in the SRT lineup.

At a $30k difference, that's $135 and some change per horsepower! Might not sound like much per horsepower, but it adds up quickly!
Yep, and Without a shaker, that is what kept me in a scat pack, had it been 15k diff I’d be driving a supercharged car. Not like 485 is a slouch, easily enough power to get into trouble with.

I drove a 2017 hellcat (non-widebody) for 2 weeks and have driven my brother's SPWB many times over the last 3 years.
My ultimate conclusion is that hellcats just aren't worth the extra money. You can't put the power down on the street unless you are already going about 45mph or so to really get on it. It just destroys the rear tires. The SPWB is 95% of the fun for 2/3rds the price.

Just put wider wheels and tires on and it gets much better :)
But your point is still valid, it still eats tires quickly.

lmao..ok dude.
I happen to own both, not just "test drove" one or the other, one time.
You entire statement has zero basis in fact.
If you cannot drive a hellcat or redeye without "destroying" the tires, then you probably shouldn't be driving a scatpack or any other car with decent HP...

BTW - every hellcat ever made has 500hp setting....its a scat pack/SRT plus alot more and having owned one for the past 4 yrs, I can assure you its worth every penny!

Actually, Farmers wants about $60/mo more to insure a ScatPack than the Hellcat.
My agent thinks that it is because more mature people are buying HCs and the actuaries are assigning higher risk to scats that get wrecked by the kids.

makes sense.

yeah my buddy drives around on drag radials lol.

Don't be a jackass.
I'll never understand what makes someone go on an aggressive attack, right off the bat.

I know a few HC owners and we all think the same thing.
Scatpacks are (in the real world) just about as much fun as a reasonable person should need.

Maybe a lot of it has to do with the roads in Austin. I grew up in Louisiana where we had very good grip compared to here.
Here, the roads are very slick. You would have to spend some time driving here to understand.

Chill out.

money means different things to different people, it may be worth every penny to you but certainly was not to me, id rather use the extra 30k on something else, like the new skid steer i also picked up last year. the supercharger would be nice but i Personally dont think the juice is worth the squeeze, im not taking anything away from the supercharged cars performance but i dont race, drift or even drive my car all that much so 485 is plenty of horsepower for me.

Same is true with my Travelers policy. I saved $8/month by upgrading from a 2018 392 T/A to a 2020 Hellcat.

Scat Packs are fun until you own a Hellcat. Forcing me back into a Scat Pack would be on par with a weeklong stay at the Hanoi Hilton, circa 1969.
