I was cleaning my new Challenger recently and discovered a build type of sheet in the rear pocket of the passenger seat. The dealer had my original special order window sticker laminated.

 

Good thing dealer didn't see it or they would have thrown it out.

I didn't even know I had a seat back pocket so maybe they didn't either.

I am looking to decode the VIN numbers on various Challengers at various websites but do not get the exact breakdown of the number. Is there a reference anywhere that will show me all the details/breakdown of the VIN number?

I was able to get a copy of my window sticker for my 2018 Charger GT AWD, only problem is that the car was sold in Canada and the window sticker is in French.....

 

So did you go Oui, Oui, Oui (pronounced wee, wee, wee) all the way home when you bought the car?

Oui is "yes" in French.

 

This was one of these lookups, or you had a physical copy sent?

Are you saying the lookup does not work for older cars? I just looked up a 2009 300 the other day.

Just looked up a 2009 and 2010 challenger and no window sticker but the build sheet works.

It's hit or miss with pre-2015 for Window Stickers, Build Sheets usually available much longer, although it's not uniform either

Yea, I can only see the build sheet. No window sticker.

 

I was able to get both for my vehicle. Much appreciated.

 

Sticker doesn't work for my 2011 SXT only Build Sheet Bummer....

Funny thing, I pasted in my VIN, give the equipment listing same as always, but the url is jeep.com!

I know you can use any jeep/ramtrucks/dodge/chrysler to lookup, just thought it was funny it defaulted to that.

 

The build sheet/window sticker is not available until after the car has been built.

No but usually unless the dealer threw them out, there will be a few sheets for the different parts of the car scattered around in the car and trunk. But no, there is not one 'build sheet' like before.
