I only wish that I could find 9.5 inch wheels similar in appearance to my factory 8-inch machined wheels with granite pockets that came on my 2022 Challenger RT Plus. I could keep 245 tires up front on the factory 8-inch rims, but different 9.5 inch rear wheels to fit 275 tires would ruin the 4-wheel match in appearance. I've yet to find a wheel design that comes close to the standard RT Plus wheels (no Performance Handling Group package). I am hesitant to swap out factory wheels for aftermarket cast wheels. I wonder if 9.5 inch MOPAR wheels, normally available for the PHG equipped Challengers, would fit the front spindle on my 2022 RT Plus.

Years back I checked on wheel widening my "Heritage" rims for my '10 R/TC.

The issue is that on the factory forged wheels, any additional rim width is added to the inside of the rim, which can (will) cause clearance problems.

I don't like spacers, so this option for me died quickly.

I wonder if the 9.5 inch wheels that come on an RT equipped with the Performance Handling Group and Performance Plus Package (you cannot get one without the other, as the song goes) will fit on the front spindle of a Challenger RT Plus bought without the PHG and PPP packages. It should not be an issue for the rear fender wells.

I don’t run spacers

Neither should you but who am I to tell you what to do?

I pick what I want (based on how it will perform more so than how it will appear) (usually), then I make it work

If you took the tire off that skinny ass wheel, supported the car by the suspension (so all the car’s weight was on it), bolted the bare wheel back on and measured… you would clearly see that the factory is aware of what the fast and the furious has done to people’s taste these days. That most everyone wants the outside edge of the tire flush with the outside of the car. Your skinny wheels were made with that in mind. There’s more room to the inside than you know.

If there isn’t enough - frame it tub it
