Wix 57063 (also known as NAPA Gold 7063).

Wix makes the SRT filters and these are made in the same factory in Poland. It doesn't mean that it's exactly like the SRT filter.

Even though it only fits the helll cat in applicaion, this is ok for the scat pack? Thanks

The factory-fitted Mopar M0899 is perfectly fine and my go-to when the 5038041AA is not handy.

I'd either go with a Wix 57063 or Wix 57899XP (this is the 899 style, but with synthetic media) or the MO 899 in that order

The SRT is definitely overkill for me since I have a 5.7L R/T and do frequent oil changes using the very best lubricant out there. Still, as stated, I care about my rig so giving it a lot of loving is not overkill IMHO.

I just ordered a half dozen SRT filters and they are backordered. Expected delivery is around this time next month. AMSOIL recently added a recommended oil filter to their product line and it looks like the same WIX filter that's branded as the SRT, Very similar specs. I'd be comfortable using either filter (or the stock Mopar filter, actually).

BAM!

Unfortunately, just because it's not listed as backordered on a web site doesn't mean that it is indeed in stock.

I ordered a half dozen SRT filters from MoparDodge a week ago. The order went through fine and I was given an estimated delivery date. Today I get an e-mail from customer service informing me that they are out of stock and don't expect a shipment until 3/10. Not a huge deal for me since I always have a couple of years supply for every car and motorcycle I own.

One correction, the 5.7L used to come with the MO-899 but that ended after 2014, starting in 2015 they began using the much smaller MO-339 but of course you can still use the MO-899 or similar.

Thanks for catching my error.

Our Durango R/T uses the MO-339 but I thought that was just because of the tight fit due to the deflector-thingy that directs the oil out of the small opening in the Durango belly pan. The filter on the Durango is on the driver's side and is installed at an angle instead of being installed vertically like on the Challengers and Chargers. I figured that the car version would still use the larger filter.

Again ... thanks for correcting my presumption.

Now it's 14 something. I should have bought it when it was 9 something a few months ago. Now I'm not feeling like buying them especially with the shipping cost. Just going to pick one up at a dealership. I think I may have like $10 off or 10% off parts or something includes stuff for oil changes. Hopefully it will restock and prices will stabilize

I was fortunate enough to pick up more than a half-dozen SRT Filters (5038041AA) when they went on sale at Amazon for about $9 in April '21. I couldn't help myself at that price. Living in New York, I have learned to "buy it cheap and stack it deep" with respect to other items that have been deemed contraband in middle of the night at the swipe of a corrupt politician's pen. So, given the ongoing scarcity of the SRT Filter, just to be SAFE, I figured it might be a good idea to pick up about five or so of the WIX 57063 to have on hand, based on the info so many have generously shared here. It would appear that rayzazoo at the Hellcat forum has been good enough to purchase, cut open, take pics, and share the specs of a WIX 57063. I found his posting to be very helpful. Here's a link to the post for those similarly interested (link). Echoing what has been said here already, it looks like the WIX 57063 - while not identical - is a suitable substitute for use with our engines if an SRT Filter (MO-041) cannot be had at a reasonable cost (or had at all).

I used the Mopar 0899 on mine, about $8. I drive normally, sometimes spirited, and highways here are 80mph. No issues.

I noticed the Motorcraft (one of the best names in autos) 820S filters are seemingly IDENTICAL to the Mopar 899 in all important respects. Those are for a lot of Ford V8 cars including my Crown Victoria. These are excellent filters as well, maybe better than the $8 Mopar since they have silicone ADBV. And they're 1/2 price at $4... worth looking into. I started a separate thread.

Times like this saving money is important... Some folks are dropping $15+ on a filter that's not materially better than a $4 Motorcraft filter, b/c it looks fancier.
