Yeah, that's what I figured. Hope it's not major. Got a appointment today at 11am. To answer your question my exhaust is stock.

The Check Engine Light went off so I wonder if the matter corrected itself.

There is a TSB for that that requires a Flash # 18-035-15


· Unable to accurately increase or decrease the cruise control set speed using the




resume or set buttons while the instrument cluster is set on metric units. Instead of


changing vehicle speed by 1 KPH when pressing the buttons, the vehicle speed will


increase approximately 1.6 KPH.


· Slight spark knock condition during aggressive high speed driving which may




prevent the vehicle from achieving maximum top speed.


· P1217 - Active Exhaust Valve 1 Performance.


· P121B - Active Exhaust Valve 2 Performance.

 

Hey guys, so I just traded in my 5.7 for a used 2016 6.4 and 2 weeks in I get this error code. I looked under the car after seeing this thread, I'm assessing I dont have the Exhuast valves and that's why I'm getting the code right.

Yes, exactly. Same thing that would happen if you pulled the fuses to disable the Active Exhaust Valves.

 

You could install active exhaust valve simulators...basically a mechanism that mimics the operation of the valves. But the big question is...where is the wiring for the valves? Was it just cut off? Tied up somewhere?

I honestly dont know I haven't looked under, still check tomorrow on my day off. I just saw the check engine light go on, this code popped off, and my mufflers are gone. I'm on my 3rd week with the car.
