Hey Guys!!

I have a dodge challenger GT AWD with everything stock for now. And I am planning to buy new tires. Right now it's at 235/55R/19 but I want to buy some wide tires. So, does anyone know how wide I can go on tires with my stock wheels (19”) without damaging fenders, shocks, etc.?

Thank you!!

Welcome to Challengertalk ;) That is a 7.5" wheel, and 235 is already the widest recommended tire size for a 7.5" wheel. You can go wider on wheels and tires, but just not on that stock wheel

You don't have to get 20", you can still get 19" wheels, but the tire choice is more limited. The thing with AWD wheels is their offset is high between +50 and +55, whereas the RWD wheels are generally between +15 and +25. The correct size and offset wheel/tire combo won't cause any damage. Here is a answer from another thread that might help you as well

There are AWD Challengers that come with 20x8.5" +50 wheels and 255/45ZR20 tires, but they would only be .7 of an inch wider than the 235/55R19. So aftermarket wheels that are 9" or wider and of a proper offset would be the way to go if you want wider than stock

It will just make the wheel/tire stick out more. As I say, members have used OEM RWD wheels and been fine

Hello guys back again!!

just a quick question. I am planning to lower the height of my challenger awd and i am bit confused. So, i will be running stock size for winter tyres (235/55R/19) but for summer tyres i plan to go with (275/40R/20) tyres. So my question to you is:

1. Should i buy lowering springs or coilovers for my car? Because i have to change the height of my car everytime i switch the tyres.

2. How much will they drop my car? (Both springs and coilovers).

Thanks
