If you opt for the Convenience PKG in the standard SXT you get HID headlights...are you still missing fog lights? Is the only way to get fog lights from the factory on a SXT is to order the SXT Plus?

Thanks

Fog Lights installation on 2015 challenger sxt

Hi,
I wanted to install the fog lights too for my 2015 sxt with the push button to turn it on and off just like it would be stock. Do we have to go to the dealership for it to work or can it be done outside as well? Is there anything the dealership will have to "unlock" for us to be able to do this?

You can install the fog lights yourself, but you'll still have to go to the dealership to have your computer re-flashed so it knows there are fog lights now.

I wonder if you get an unlocked PCM to use a Tuner if all of the options are enabled ? I am considering the PCM since I already have a Trinity Tuner I am not using at this moment. Hmmm Inquiring minds want to know ???

I haggled with the Fiat/Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer where I purchased my used 2015 SXT and got the factory fog lights installed, parts and labor with warranty for $320. I may be able to save some money by going third party, but in this instance the price is close enough for me to let the dealership do it.

I think my dealer quoted 1.5 at 120 (Canada as well). Going to grind them down to an hour though as the job doesn't seem that hard. I'd do it myself but they'll still charge me an hour for the flash.

Sorta off topic (and a bit late), but I gotta ask since I'm looking at doing the same things with our '15 SXT. I've been told (and read) that the 5.0 touch will display a back up camera. So, I'm curious if you have the 5.0 or 8.4 touch in yours when you installed the backup camera.

Question to ALL of you that have added factory fog lights after purchase....
Were your cars pre wired and only needing the lights and the correct switch?

Its a legit question. I have a friend who is a tech, so I can have my sales codes updated without issue. I'm a DIY person, so I like to do the work. We previously owned a '10 Challenger SE that I added the factory fog lights to. It was already wired and just needed the lamps and switch. I was hoping the 2015 would be the same, but on a quick peek under the car, I did NOT see the wiring harness tucked under there. I have the remote start kit in a box awaiting spare time (that i dont have) to get installed. I'm expecting that to take me a few hours.

When I had my SXT I added the cam/spoiler and fog lights. The 5.0 (RA2) will display the camera. The fog lights weren't pre wired. The kit comes with a harness and easy to follow instructions (or at least I thought so). Took me about 2.5 hrs in the garage to do mine, but I wasn't in a hurry.

Fog lights come with SXT Blacktop package from the factory.

Has anyone that has installed the lights and then gone to the dealer been told that the dealer can't guarantee that the the new switch will work after flashing the computer. Even though everything is Mopar parts: lights switch etc?

That member hasn't visited here since 2016. I wouldn't expect an answer
