Having a Difficult Time Choosing the Right Color for my Hellcat.

Am I the only one on this forum that thinks there are only a few good color choices that "fit" the Hellcat?

I have never had such a tough time choosing a color for a car than I do now. I'm more into the "performance" part of the car, so I usually don't mind too much how the car looks. But in this case, I'm spending around $70K (with taxes, etc.) and I'm only able to chose colors that are pretty much available on most Chrysler vehicles. Some car companies (like BMW) will offer a 1/2 dozen color choices that are exclusive to their higher-end sport cars (like the M-series cars). I wish Dodge did that for the Hellcat.

There is only 2 colors (IMHO) that really make the Hellcat "pop". They are the Sublime Green & the Tor Red. Both those colors really make the Hellcat stand-out, but they are also a little bit too much "in your face" for a car that I will be using as a daily-driver. I also think that those 2 colors will attract more people to my car (including the Po-Po) than I want. I would love a Tor Red Hellcat...but my plan is to drive it everyday except in the winter.

The Hellcat looks mean in Black, but I own a black Z06 (and another black vehicle) and they are pretty difficult to keep clean.

Anyways, here are the (3) three color choices that I like at this point:
1.) Granite Crystal - Sort of a modern day "Grandpa Gray" color with hints of silver & tan & bronze colors. Not really a Hellcat kind of color, IMO.
2.) Jazz Blue Pearl - It looks great in direct sunlight. It's a very dark blue that I think looks pretty much black in color when its out of the sunlight. I assume to get that pearl Blue to shine, it will be very time-consuming like the black colors to keep clean.
3.) B5 Blue - I'm still not sure what I think of that color! I've seen it in person and sometimes it looks out-right awesome. Other times...it looks like a real light, bright "baby blue" color. My younger son, thinks its is a bizarre color for a 700hp car...whatever. I still like it!

I'm still leaning towards B5 Blue and I'll have the hood wrapped in matte black and I think it bring a little "attitude" to the car.

Is there any other color choices that I missed that really makes the Hellcat standout, without being "too wild".

Thanks, DB

color is so personal and subjective and by reading your list you like blue, so you should go that route. to me this car should be a retro color or a neutral color like black or white. any of the other colors will date the car like your granite comment about grandpa I also just don't think it fits. also some people don't always connect with the lime greens and purple any wild colors from 1970. I personally like The phantom black tri coat pearl.

Because of the black trims and rims, Jazz blue looks amazing on both the hellcat and scatpack.

But honestly.. this car will be so loud..the last thing you'll be going is incognito lol.. You might as well get the color that you really want.

As for b5.. I simply can't understand why so many like this color. For me it's right up there with furious fuchsia.. Take your son's advice on this one IMO!

I am kinda in the same boat with the colors.

I believe also, that during ownership of the HC which will be longer than other cars, my taste might change or I might want to switch it up at some point.

So I am quite certain I will get a stock paint finish "that I can live with", probably granite or one of the black tones. and then have the car wrapped at a professional company. The original paint will be protected and you can have you pick from 100s of colors and "pinstriping" variants and options.

A really decent wrap job usually costs half or a third of what a half decent paint job costs so it's not THAT big a deal considering the overall cost of the car...

I am a TorRed person... but I'd say go B5... retro great color...

The sound will make you stand out. but honestly... a rare color in a group of cars like B5 is going to make you attract attention as well.

I am with you. Ive purchased 5 Shelby's and 4 mustangs along with several different cars one being a billet SRT grand Cherokee in the past 3 years and I fight with color options all the time. I feel I must be in total love for the color or else I will not be happy. When I clean it I want that feeling, you know the feeling I'm talking about. All the Shelbys I owned were Vista blue. Even though I think black is nice I could never ever own that color because I would wind up in a Looney bin trying too keep it clean. I am one of the people waiting for B5 to open but I have tried to come up with another color and looking at pics. I must say the white pic with the black hood and bm looks good too. Also the granite looks great but when I see a dirty granite grand Cherokee it totally turns me off. So take your time and choose wisely.
