Hey!
I currently live in an apartment complex and seem to keep running into unfortunate issues haha. So some lawn care company just came today and sprayed some kind of milky white liquid spray on the grass (I’m guessing some kind of herbicide) and sprayed some on the back of my car. It got on the lower plastic trim and on the paint above the plastic trim on the rear. I immediately washed it off with water and sprayed the area heavily with detail spray and wiped it clean with a microfiber towel. It was only on the car for maybe 5 minutes. I also got my whole car ceramic coated with XPel last December so it does have that layer of protection. Do you guys think it caused any damage? I think I’ve heard that ceramic coats are really resistant to chemicals.
Thanks!

Do you SEE any issues after cleaning it off? If not, you should be OK. If there is still some residue, or it wrecked your paint, I hope you took pictures for evidence. Then you could show the apt mgt, and have them contact the lawn care folks and make them pay for anything that needs to be done to remove it, like a pro.

I’d think you’re fine, next time take pictures and tell the manager what occurred and to let the contractor know to be more careful. Knowing the epa and their rules it has to be something that doesn’t damage anything except what’s it stated purpose is.

I doubt there'd be any permanent damage done in that short of a time period, particularly where it's ceramic coated and you rinsed it off shortly afterwards. It could have been a solution of fertilizer, herbicide, or insecticide. You should find out what was actually sprayed and mention it to whoever hired the service provider to let them know NOT to let it happen again!
