I’m going to drop in for sure during the week because now I’m nervous! Fingers crossed that they aren’t screwing me over 🥹. Also, thankfully there wasn’t any other damage underneath other than the bent wheel house.

Thank you all for your replies! So the cheapest quote I received was $2k and it’s going to take about a week to repair.
The paint prep time alone would exceed that figure. If I were you, I would not send it there. You're not going to be happy with the results.

Sorry that happened to you and so messed up when inconsiderate unethical people damage other people's property and get away with it!
Hopefully the shop you take it to will fix it right and not take shortcuts.

2k won't repair that car. It may buy you a guy that will do a bunch of rough pulling, fill it full of body filler, mask everything and spray some low budget paint on it.

I do this for a living and if that were my car and I was repairing it myself in my own garage it would cost me more than 2k at a $0 labor rate.

1k for Quarter Panel at least with tax and shipping probably about 1,200.00 I know i priced when my hit and run happened.
Paint, primer / sealer, and clear is about 500.00, Labor of just panel removal and replace not including the under pieces repair
and labor, 8 to 11 hours of shop rate. Then refinish and blending 5 hours shop time. You got other pieces that have to come off
to do the repairs and re installation etc., No Way no how only 2k on that damage.

You got underside Damage clearly seen...Also that Rear Wheel is toed way out look at the Light above the Tire and how its angled out.

I use to do Painting at Dealerships and worked at Body Shops.

That said my Uncles 2011 Trail Blazer got popped in the left rear quarter panel and damage etc., was just under 7k this was last year.
Insurance gave the option to him cause of age to fix or total. Looking back he wished he said total.

Ok that given your car will have Damage on File of History meaning the Value of the car is affected as well. Insurance pays they
file that damage on it's History no matter who did the damage. The Property Owner's insurance should pay the Bill

Good Luck this car has got serious damage.

I believe the base labor for just the 1/4 on a Challenger is 19 hours.

Many operations are not included in that 19 hours.

Like others I’m highly dubious of a shop that quotes 2k for that.

Mine was 4 years ago and prices have gotten more expensive, not less.

I posted a picture early in the thread but here is a closer to 1:1 picture to yours:

This was a <5mph hit from a midsize SUV. Just over 7800 from the shop. That said, they did a pretty good job, only slight imperfection is the bumper line—and that you have to look for, and to be honest I look at older pictures and from the factory has the same mis-match…this picture shows it well:

Im interested to see your results for 1/4 cost after 4 years inflation.

Unless you don’t have insurance why would you take it to the cheapest place possible. It will be over your deductible no matter what so it will cost you the same whether you take it to Earl Schaub or a quality place.

That’s fine if you don’t want to admit it.

Ok quick update! It’s completely repaired! They did a really good job and the price was only 2k like originally quoted! The repairs took about a week.

Sure looks more like concrete rash than hit and run...

Looks pretty good from here, for that price and quick turn-around they must have pulled out what they could and then used bondo. Pretty impressive for the price, CONGRATS 🍺

More important will a magnet stick to the car, if it’s all bondo it won’t grab tight or at all. Something isn’t right here.
