I've got a 2012 RT 5.7L six speed and want to add some JBA shorty headers. I live in MD with strict emissions so the shortys seem like the obvious choice. My real question is this: I used to have a Durango
that I put shortys on and seemed I got a little more response and definitely a deeper rumble in the exhaust note, and this was without a tune. I've been reading here tunes for headers are a no go yet for the '12's, and obviously performance expectations are different than from the truck, but I thought with this bolt on, you can roll as is and be fine. My concern is I've been reading here about people talking about running lean and needing to "add fuel?"
