Per Steve White Motors, the white, SRT Oil Filter, Part # 5038041AA is back ordered until November 2022. Mopar needs to get with it! I hope this is not an omen when we need other parts for our Challengers!

Thanks for the heads up Slidd, Big price diff. The oil seems pretty strait forward. Plenty of 0-40 PUP to go around although it's getting a little spendy.
I used to run Quaker State Racing oil in my BOSS 351 back in the day. No such thing as synthetic. No such thing as a BOSS anymore either. Cheers!

Depends on your definition of 'real good'. If you have a couple hours, go hit that certain forum that starts with Bob and ends with Guy. I have no problem with Wix filters, but if your definition of 'real good' is the best filtration or combination of filtration/flow, Wix is not necessarily the best answer.

Wix 50763 is the same filter as the MO-041.
You say that, but I thought I'd give it a try and ordered one recently, and it came super rusty and full of debris. Any SRT filters I've ordered were never that bad, and if you look at a few other forums, there is still argument that the SRT filters are made to different specs. I typically order one of three filters these days: Mopar OEM filter, SRT filter (041A), or Fram Ultra. For the wife's 2018 Jeep GC with the 5.7, and my 2020 Ram 1500 with the 5.7, its been Fram Ultra recently, but I've used the other two in the past without issue.

For the Challenger, I'm sure its quite adequate, but I thought I'd give the SRT filter a try for a while. We're still in the "honeymoon" phase with the new muscle car, so may eventually switch it to Fram Ultra as well, we shall see.

I think I just went to this website and started a chat and asked them to find me one. But, I also think any Dodge dealership can do a dealer wide search for you.
Very bottom of the page on the left. Click on "Chat with us". Good luck!

Just use the MO-899 until the plant in Poland can produce the 5038041AAs and figure out how to get them here.
The MO-899 was installed on the engine when it was built. That should be sufficient.

we have a limited number of the SRT filters in stock, will only allow 2 per customers, and we paid premium handling on these, there is no promo code available

if you place an order for more than 2 we will cancel the order

We used Blackstone when I was in the Army. We used this company to determine preventive maintenance intervals and when an engine should be replaced before its failure. What did concern me about this is that the US Government would go with the least expensive bid for a service. However, the fact of using only one company for oil analysis doesn't mean that any filter has a standard by which others are measured is accurate and represents a specific standard to measure others. If several oil analysis companies were used and Blackstone had the best and was consistent in their findings, then I would say that their results indicates a true accuracy of a filter's attributes. Try using three different companies and see what you get. One company's results might not be reliable.

"From the SRT Engineers:

The SRT oil filter for all the past engines and the new 22mm inlet SRT filter for the Gen 4 and beyond engines share the same characteristics. We worked with many of the filter suppliers to get the best features. Some fell out for various performance reasons but we ended up developing the current SRT filters with one of the mainstream manufacturers (it is different than their commercial offerings - or at least was when we developed it). The high flow oil pumps in our large engines (Viper is the biggest) can overpower the internal relief valve. When this valve opens it allows some of the high pressure dirty oil to bypass the filter element in order to keep the filter from being damaged. The SRT filters do indeed have a higher differential bypass valve to make sure all the oil delivered to your powerplant is clean. The housing is slightly thicker than many of the brands out there to handle the pressure but is not the thickest. The real thick ones failed our development testing (fractured at the crimped flange). The media used was one of the latest synthetics that allowed very fine filtration, more debris capacity, and much lower restriction than our standard Mopar filter (andjust about every other filter out there).

The two filters I ordered from you arrived yesterday. Not rusty like one of the ones I ordered from somewhere else recently. Thank you for offering them, and thank you for the fast shipping!

Yeah, and you have to be careful, the higher prices do not mean quality. The ones from Steve White and one other seller on eBay were just some super light surface rust that won't affect anything, but the last eBay seller I bought from, one had heavy rust. Suffice to say I won't be using that one.
