I say drive the now slightly older version for a day and then spend a day driving a 2015. You will know by then which one you want. Happened to me. I loved the 2008-2014 models but I also love the new stuff on the latest 2015 model.

Old thread!! I was the last to comment for over 6 years!! I still have 3 of the 08-14 models and 1 2019 version. All have their good points, their great points and their slight let-downs... I like what I have, in each of them.

 

I like the pre-2014 big flat dash better than the cockpit like feel of the post 2015 design. I also think it looks more retro/better. The 2015 cockpit design is just too cramped feeling IMO.

The exterior styling, the nod probably goes to the post 2015. There are more options and the shaker hood is pretty BA, the TA models with the side stripes are BA, the wider stances are BA.

The dash technology and options on the post 15s is pretty neat. I guess the security upgrades make the post 2015s also more desirable and less theft prone, when they are completed of course.

Performance, well those numbers just continue to get better. The A8 is apparently the superior transmission. And HP/TQ numbers have just gone off the charts impressive. It was not long ago that 600 HP was unheard of in a street car. Now we're at 800HP common and pushing 1000 HP in stock cars. It's just incredible that my meager 475HP is no longer very impressive...

 

I went with the 2014 as a 50th bday gift to myself. I had said to the dealer that I wish they had made a Shaker hood. 3 weeks after ordering my RT Plus, the guy calls and says "guess what" 2015 's have Shaker. Told me it would cost $2500 more and I would not get it until summer. I did not like the new grill, tail lights or dash board. I told him I'll keep my 2014 and it was delivered on New Years Eve 2013. I have since turned it into my version of the 1971 Barracuda. I call it the "Challacuda" and will probably keep it until I'm dead. Has only 34,000 on it and still runs great. I was able to get the lifetime warranty before they stopped selling them (THANK YOU STEVE WHITE !).

Loved my first Challenger, and love my present one.

 

I love the 2014, especially the gauges over the new digital screens in a muscle car.
Don’t get me wrong I love the digital gauges in my Ram.
Love my Shaker, just went over 20,000km last week.
Never seen winter.
Every time I get in she brings smiles!

I like them both, but prefer the 2015+, especially the tail lights and the interior. That long strip of red along the tail isn't my favorite. But it's like asking blonde of brunette...yes please

I’ve had both. I prefer the 11-14 with old school looks and traditional muscle car interior & dash. Got a 15 because I wanted sublime color and wanted to try bigger motor. If I buy another it will be an 11 GWE 392.
