One correction, the 5.7L used to come with the MO-899 but that ended after 2014, starting in 2015 they began using the much smaller MO-339 but of course you can still use the MO-899 or similar.

Thanks for catching my error.

Our Durango R/T uses the MO-339 but I thought that was just because of the tight fit due to the deflector-thingy that directs the oil out of the small opening in the Durango belly pan. The filter on the Durango is on the driver's side and is installed at an angle instead of being installed vertically like on the Challengers and Chargers. I figured that the car version would still use the larger filter.

Again ... thanks for correcting my presumption.

The Wix 57063 is the filter that’s closest to the MO-041 filter. They’re made in the same Wix factory in Poland.

That 041 filter was originally developed for the Dodge Viper … and had been used on Challenger SRTs and Hellcats in the past. Guys use it today on their HEMI engines just because they want the “best” for their car. And for most of us it’s overkill. Guilty as charged.

Current Hellcats (6.2L), R/T Scat Packs (6.4L),and R/Ts (5.7) all come from the factory with the MO-899 oil filter. There is a Wix 899XP that is its equivalent.

The Mopar 899 or Wix 899 are perfectly fine for a R/T Scat Pack. The Mopar 041 or Wix 57063 is an upgrade.

According to the Wix Filter website … the 57060 that you mention is used in a variety of GM applications.

Does that help to clarify?
I guess I am not sure where the 57060 came from, maybe I pulled that out of thin air.

No worries.

It's tough to (a) keep all of the part numbers straight and (b) even tougher to type them correctly.

I just tried to order the SRT filter from @ Steve White. The model selecter says it will not fit my 2020 SCATPACK
That's because it is spec'd for the Viper. If you have a 392, it will fit and is preferable. It's what is on mine and a new one is in my garage and goes on next week.

It will - I live just over a 1/2 hour away from SWM - they sell so many, they keep them under the counter in their parts dept...

as mentioned, its "original" listing is for '09+ Viper, but it fits any '09+ Hemi engine

Says in stock but cant get it in the cart.😡
Call them. If they are out of stock, bet they can find you one. Despite all the crying to the contrary, took me 5 minutes online to find 2 in Georgia. They are out there.

Supposedly carID.com has them in stock at $13ish. I just ordered 5 of them. Keep you posted if I actually get them.
Now it's 14 something. I should have bought it when it was 9 something a few months ago. Now I'm not feeling like buying them especially with the shipping cost. Just going to pick one up at a dealership. I think I may have like $10 off or 10% off parts or something includes stuff for oil changes. Hopefully it will restock and prices will stabilize

Hopefully you find some at a dealer. I’ve called a few near my area and they have none available with a ETA of November 2022 lol. Even Steve White Parts couldn’t tell me an ETA. When SteveWhiteParts is having supply issues we know we are screwed haha. Ebay has them going for like $30-40.

PartsVoice shows 31 dealers with stock.

Yeah I used partsvoice seems like there are some at my local dealership, not the one I go to usually but for parts. It kind of feel like stocks I don’t wanna buy high when I could have bought in at $9 and 11 shares

I was fortunate enough to pick up more than a half-dozen SRT Filters (5038041AA) when they went on sale at Amazon for about $9 in April '21. I couldn't help myself at that price. Living in New York, I have learned to "buy it cheap and stack it deep" with respect to other items that have been deemed contraband in middle of the night at the swipe of a corrupt politician's pen. So, given the ongoing scarcity of the SRT Filter, just to be SAFE, I figured it might be a good idea to pick up about five or so of the WIX 57063 to have on hand, based on the info so many have generously shared here. It would appear that rayzazoo at the Hellcat forum has been good enough to purchase, cut open, take pics, and share the specs of a WIX 57063. I found his posting to be very helpful. Here's a link to the post for those similarly interested (link). Echoing what has been said here already, it looks like the WIX 57063 - while not identical - is a suitable substitute for use with our engines if an SRT Filter (MO-041) cannot be had at a reasonable cost (or had at all).

thanks for sharing, may consider getting that the alternative if price isn’t reasonable near my oil change time
