The sublime is growing on me...

I still prefer the GWE. Just plain prettier. The sublime has a pastey/plastic/Crayola look. Not sure if it's "high impact," but definitely unique. It makes a statement. I actually like it now.

@Bobby41909. Hiya - did you say that you ordered a HC in B5? How and where did you do so? Do you have a VON? I have been looking to order a SP or SRT392 in B5 and no dealer can locate that color in their system.
Correction, I have paid a deposit, chosen my options, and have my space in the line for the next allocation. Just waiting for the order banks to open for B5 at this point.

Sorry if I mislead...

I just wish B5 BLUE would have never came back. And left it just on the 2009 and 2010 models oh well it did not happen.Hope they do not make many of them. The only good thing the body looks a little diffent

B5... Plum Crazy...Sublime... They don't match the early 70s colors... does it really matter? There is no law that says they have to...

I really like B5 personally.

Color is a personal thing. It doesn't matter what you call the blue.. B5.. B3, ocean blue... the color was very popular and I think it would have sold well if they would have kept it every year.

I just looked at three Sublime Challengers on a lot, although I can't see "myself" buying one ( the jury is still out), I applaud Chrysler for finally making the color for those who want it. White, black & gray do not
Ok good on everything nowadays, you'd be hard pressed to find those colors on a muscle car back in the day.
B5 all the way baby, don't care if it's a shade or two off!

I was just checking out the Sublime Challengers on a dealer lot the other day...I remember going to this same dealer in 1970 and checking out the high impact color Challengers....ended up with a Charger, but that's another story. These colors, including B5, bring me right back to 1970 again. I never thought that we would see those days again.

Are you really trying to compare colors between an old dusty Polaroid and a new digital camera/phone? If so, trees were darker back then, too.....

My 70 T/A in B3

My 2010 B5 Classic

71 GTX in B5

Looks to me like my ' 10 B5 looks a whole lot more like a 71 B5 than a 70 B3, but that's just me.

I wish Blue streak still existed. That was my favorite modern color on a challenger. B5 is still pretty cool though. Going to have a hard time choosing between jazz and B5 blue for my next purchase!

Jazz blue for me if I had to choose between the 2009 - 2010 B5 and Jazz - but I suspect I am in the minority on this one! GWE just does not do it for me. Sublime I have yet to see in person. I wanted sublime for years. Now that it finally came out from pictures I am in the Tor Red camp this year. Funny how things can change. Bottom line - Challenger looks great in any color and to each their own!

Can really care about yea color chip chart,Mine is much darker then the B5 that are on the Challengers today.Maybe if you owned a B5 from 1970 you would have a clue but then again maybe nottttt..........JQ
Don't tell me what I didn't own, you know nothing about me! This is the B5 71 'Cuda I owned a few years ago so I do know what B5 looks like and your just plain WRONG!

You can take it for what it's worth, I really don't care. I owned a B3 70 car, have you? I know the difference between B3 and B5 (old and new) and there is no way a new B5 color is closer to the "old" B3 than it is to an "old" B5 color (as the OP insinuates). The photos are what they are, I am sorry I didn't have an 8MP digital camera when I took the pic of my 70 Challenger, but you know, times were hard back then and we used what was available..........Good thing I didn't use crayons..........:grin2:

Man, my parents hadn't quite met yet when the '70 came out :grin2: I guess the consolation prize for being old is you already had a shot to own these cars once already:laugh2:

While I'd agree there is a subtle difference between B3 and B5

Blue Challengers at PaintRef.com

, I can barely tell on my monitor, and I'd be happy with either. Jazz Blue is way too dark, 99% of the time it looks black anyway.

The real problem with pictures, regardless of Polaroid or digital or whatever, is there are a ton of things that can make a huge difference, especially when it comes to subtle shade differences. My desktop wallpaper is a slideshow of the '15s, mostly from the Portland unveil, because I obsess, and several colors look very different in different pictures.

I have no real point of reference on the real 70's B5 vs B3, but having not seen the 15 in B5 yet, I won't go too much on the pictures yet.

Especially since I can't order the $%&$* color yet.

Even in 1970, if you parked 3 B-5 cars together you might see 3 different colors.
I don't know if it depends on what plant they were painted at or if there is another factor, but there was a lot of variation in that color.

OK... New slant... I had a B7 blue 1970 Charger. Just a little deeper blue than B5 and looked a lot better than B5 when I was parked next to one. B7 was a more rich blue and looked so good that most people thought it had to be B5 because B5 was supposed to be the best. I hated B3, and am OK with B5, but B7 was the best...

I agree that the B5 and the B7 was great looking colors in 1970
But the New B5 that they want too call em looks too much like a B3...............JQ
