I pulled my 5.7 non-MDS camshaft last night to install my new 6.4 non-MDS Cam and found the following.
Nope, I have a manual transmission.. but every thing else qualifies .. I ordered all of the updated partsThey really drug their feet on that, and kept the lits back ordered. Kind of like stalling for warranty to expire.
Do you fall under these req's?
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 5.7L Hemi engine (sales code EZD or EZH), automatic transmission (sales code DGJ) and rear axle ratio 3.06, 3.73 or 3.92 (sales code DMP, DME or DMH) built from August 04, 2008 through July 10, 2012 (MDH 080406 through 071008).
FYI - regarding OEM lifters, as others have mentioned Mopar updated the lifters...apparently around mid 2016?any lifter brand recommendations?
I ordered OEM from steve white parts, 20 days out thoughHang in there man, just don't get the Engine tech or anything to cheap to be true. There are other more expensive like Johnson and some of the guys here may post up alternatives.
I got a full set of MDS AD lifters last August from SW
I think Johnson only makes the non-MDS liftersHang in there man, just don't get the Engine tech or anything to cheap to be true. There are other more expensive like Johnson and some of the guys here may post up alternatives.

You need to upload it to a site like vimeo or YouTube and then link it to your post.I’d post an open header video if i knew how haha
I will get that mid-day when the neighbors are at work hahaYou need to upload it to a site like video or YouTube and then link it to your post.
I say go ahead and fire it up now, and if the neighbors complain, simply explain that you were checking for the dreaded banana in the tailpipe trick and also not to worry, everything was fine.I will get that mid-day when the neighbors are at work haha
Remember to set to 4800 rpms for proper setting. Finally got the car tuned, 377 rwhp @ 6250, 359 rwtq@4600 rpm… i wired the 6.4 intake runner control up to the pcm to operate as designed tuner said he could turn it on and off and it didnt change anything, so im not sure it’s working, i will put a scope on it to see what its doing. If it isn't doing anything i will wire it up to the MSD rpm switch.
That is pretty cool, and yes ive researched the rpm set point for the switch and 4800rpm is the ideal point for the design of the intakeRemember to set to 4800 rpms for proper setting.
Also, Here are some cutaways I made from a damaged 6.4 intake might like.

Yep. Took some time to cut mine.Actually the FCA handbooks also have an x-section of the SRV manifold, although I think it is from a 5.7 Ram. Nice to know the 6.4 design is almost identical.

Found some FCA student workbooks on the web. The engine management and engine hardware books have some info that I have never seen in the service manual.www.challengertalk.com
