Simply put, the SRT was a Hellcat but without the engine/transmission. The 1320 is a Demon but without the engine/transmission. The Scat pack is a baseline 392 package.

Folks keep getting confused between SRT the trim level, and SRT the name of the performance division at Dodge. Just because it says "Powered By SRT" on the valve covers, DOESN'T make it an SRT.
Hate to break it to you, but the 1320 uses the same ZF 8HP70 transmission as the dead & buried SRT 392 did in 2018...so I guess that makes the 1320 an SRT...for that matter, so did the 8 speed 2015 Scat Packs.

That is true how ever the 1320 ads the demon stall converter and trans brake along with launch control and demon torque reserve so it’s better than SRT 392’s😆

The Demon is a SRT ;)

Looks like just the motor is a srt But the challenger is a rt
So yours is a "R/T Scat Pack"
Mine isn't a Scat Pack OR a SRT. Mine is a "R/T 392" OR a 392 HEMI SCAT PACK SHAKER (no R/T...)
SO mine is EITHER a R/T OR a SCAT PACK, but not both...

So 1320's are "more SRT" than SRT's!!! :ROFLMAO:

I'm surprised they aren't actually. Maybe because they are for Street and Strip, not Track, they should be SS, but not Super Sport. Like the Chevelle forum with all the "Is my car a real SS" stuff ;-)

I hate to break it to you (as well), but I have a 1320. The 1320 is not an SRT. And I did state in my above post "different engine and transmission than the Hellcat"

Does this mean that my lowly T/A with 5.7L HEMI and 8HP70 transmission can possibly now identify as an SRT?

But the same transmission as the 2018 SRT...logical constructs must be consistent.
The 2018 SRT 392 had the ZF 8HP70 transmission, and (obviously by the name) the 392 ci (6.4L) engine. The Hellcat, which was called an SRT by Dodge, had upgraded transmission and different engine block, but was still an SRT, as classified by Dodge.

Thus, if you have the same engine and transmission as an SRT, by the logic you presented, then you have an SRT. In your case, you specified two tiers of SRT - the 392 and the HellCat.

The SRT 392, was it's own trim level. That's literally what it was called hence the decal on the front grille and rear spoiler that said "SRT". It was a fully loaded car-seats, brakes, sound, wheels, tires, etc. It was not a Scatpack. Its not engine and transmission that defined the term SRT, it was the whole package.

LOL why do I think this is funny ... all over three letters ... What you own is what you have. " And I love what I own" would I re- badge hell NO . I think is even better then the older "SRT" and its worth more then I paid for it .. hmm that's another topic

Posers will always feel the need to pose. I'm with you about what you own is what you have. I'm a proud Scat Pack owner and my Scat Pack is an R/T not an SRT.
