We have a new Scat Pack on order (another story) but after reordering again with additional cash we now have a VIN#. We are in our late 60'S so street racing or running at the track is not our thing - Are 245 too small for this car or should i be replacing the tires immediately with 275's. Will 275's fit the car - my wheel size is 20X9. Wide bodies come with a 305/35 R20 ours will not be a wide body. "IF," we drive reasonably are 245's OK? This will be our 3rd Challenger and trading a 2018 RT+. Any thoughts or concerns on the standard 245's on this car?

It's kinda of the direction I may go. Car is primarily my wifes and we take our RAM on trips. tks for the info BTW Hellraisn is what we ordered with a fairly number of options.

275/40/20's will fit with zero issues. Your rims will need to be at least a 9" which shouldn't be an issue being a SP.

I replaced the 245's on my SP with DWS06 275/40's.

Much better car now in every way.

Leaning towards seeing how the 245 are a move to the 275's for replacement. Nice color -

Thanks.

I put 29k miles on the factory 245 RSA's. I wanted to get my money's worth from the originals.

That said, the first day with the 275's, I wish that I would have done it sooner.

Just my experience and thoughts.

9.5" you can do 285/40-20

most folks comment that (if equipped with all-season tire) the Goodyear RSA-2's didn't feel all that "confidence inspiring". And after installing 275/40s on their Scat Pack "I wish I did this far sooner"

My day # 2 mod was replacing the 245/45 RSA-2 with 275/40s - I sold the take off 245/45s to a local member than needed new tires for their R/T and only had 245/45 tires as the only choice to fit the 20" x 8" OEM wheels

My 2015 RT came with the OEM Hyper Black 20 x 8 rims and 245s. I always kept and eye out for the OEM WRT 20 x 9 rims as I always liked these rims better! Recently I was able to buy some and thus I ended up buying new tires and upgraded to the 275s!

The grip on these wider tires is better and it definitely gives the car a more stout look! Here's a pic of the installed 245s vs the 275 wheel next to it, big difference.
